dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
Every mother hopes to give her child the world, but there are very few that are courageous and selfless enough to sacrifice everything to make it a reality. We will never be able to find the words to fully express our gratitude and admiration for women like you. But from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for making this incredibly difficult but generous decision. We want you to know, whether or not you choose us, we know you will make the right decision for your child because every decision you’ve made thus far has been born from exceptional love.
Should you choose us, know that your child will always understand how much you loved them in order to give them a better life. Know that your child will grow up in a supportive, kind, judgment-free environment filled with joy and laughter. They will grow up playing outside with friends, swimming with the dog, and climbing trees with cousins. They will learn how to be perseverant, resilient, compassionate, and humble. They will develop a strong sense of self that no one will ever take from them. And when they are old enough, we will travel and show them this astounding world of ours. Our promise to you is to give your child the world in every way we can. And when your child is grown someday, excelling in their career of choice, surrounded by friends and family, and perhaps smiling fondly upon a family of their own, know that it was you who made it all possible.
We’ve been together for 14 years and married for six! We bonded over our love of learning, passion for animals, and a mutual desire to help each other achieve our career dreams. Jen is a physician at a children’s hospital, and Scott is an economist who works from home. We feel incredibly fortunate that we get to continuously learn and grow in our careers as well as help people every day. Together we prepare for our next great adventure: raising a family with a healthy dose of humor, humility, compassion, and a love of learning! Traveling is definitely our favorite thing to do together. Exploring other countries’ cultures, histories, and natural beauty inspires us. Our favorites so far have been New Zealand, Japan, and Ecuador! We also love to get outdoors and go hiking with our dog or go kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake in the backyard.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a suburban community in a spacious home with sprawling windows that look out over the backyard and lake. We are located in the Midwest about 20 minutes outside a city. This grants us the benefit of a safe, close-knit community while also being able to enjoy the amenities of the city, from Broadway tours to college sporting events to the state fair. We also live in a school district ranked top five in the state. Our small zoo at home consists of Knipper, a goofy and very lovable collie/golden retriever mix, and two cats, Trina and Ninja, who just want all the scritches. They all get along well and provide lots of free snuggle therapy.
Our Extended Family
Most of Scott’s extended family lives less than an hour away from us, including over 30 different family members who will use any excuse to get together and hang out. Arbor Day? Presidents Day? Yep, you’ll find us grilling out on the deck, playing cornhole or red light/green light, and swimming and fishing in the lake. They are all extremely open, warm, and loving…except when playing cards together as a family. Then all bets are off and anything goes! But in all seriousness, after Scott’s mother passed away when he was young, his numerous aunts and uncles came together to help raise and support him and have stayed close to him ever since, subsequently welcoming Jen into their family with open arms as well. So instead of two sets of grandparents, your child will basically have five! Your child will never be lacking in grandparents to spoil them, adventurous aunts and uncles, or cousins for playmates.
Jen’s family is a little smaller. Her parents have retired to Florida, but they and her sister visit on all major holidays. They also insist on at least two yearly Florida trips to replenish our vitamin D and escape the chilly Midwest winters. No complaints here! So Disney World and the beach are definitely on the agenda with Jen’s family.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have been married for six wonderful years but have not yet been blessed with children despite several rounds of fertility treatments. We have chosen adoption in order to share our lives with a child and build our family. We know any mother with the courage, strength, and love to place her child for adoption in the pursuit of a better life will have passed along those same amazing qualities to her child. We would be honored to support and love that beautiful child as our own through all of life’s ups and downs.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
