Dear Birthmom

Kim was 15 when she found out she had a half-sister, Kelly. Kim remembers how her mother talked about being afraid, alone…and deeply in love with her unborn baby. She talked about the overwhelming struggles to make the very decision you are making now. Kim’s experience with her mom helps us understand the magnitude of the love you have for your baby and the difficulty in considering adoption. It took a lot of faith, courage, and heart for Kim’s mom to make that decision, just like it is for you. When she talks about her decision now, she is happy that her dreams of her daughter being healthy, happy, successful, and full of life and love are a reality. We’ve had and continue to have a wonderful relationship with Kelly.

As you are dreaming of what your child’s life might look like, we are sharing your dreams too. We will laugh, play, run, jump, teach, build, snuggle, skate, climb, sleep, cry, heal, learn, see, do, swim, hike, fly, swing, ride, create, comfort, read, dance, crawl, hop, eat, nurture, giggle, think, feel, slide, travel, hear, talk, sing, and listen…anything and everything for the dreams of your child. We have a lot of love to give and can provide a stable, supportive, and unconditionally loving environment.

We know your decision is anything but easy. It takes strength, courage, faith, and a love greater than anything. We will always honor that and will always love and want nothing but the best for your child.

About Us

We met in college and share the same profession as Speech-Language Pathologists. Jeff was a coach for Special Olympics and Kim volunteered to support our athletes. We kept in touch with an email or two every year. One year, Jeff received his annual email from Kim making fun of his hockey team, but something was different…. We discovered how much we admired each other’s principles and values and how much we had in common. Within months, Jeff moved from Colorado to California, a place he never thought he would live, to be with the one he loved. A year later, we were married.

We share a passion for life, laughter, family, and friends and are advocates for our profession. Kim proudly serves our Veterans and Jeff has rock-star status working in three schools. Kids especially adore Jeff. He’s funny, passionate, and patient, and he thrives on helping others succeed. Kim is compassionate, generous and loves to learn. Her uplifting spirit makes everyone around her smile. She loves making birthday parties for nieces and nephews and holiday parties for her Vets.

Our Home & Pets

We recently moved into our dream home and absolutely love it. We are ten minutes from the beach; however, our home is surrounded by farmland, rolling hills, and trees. We have 1.25 acres with fruit trees and pens for horses, goats, and chickens. This is not typical California. We are 45 minutes away from the technology capital of the world, yet it’s not uncommon to see someone riding a horse to the grocery store. Our house is set off the road and we have only a handful of neighbors. Everyone looks out for each other, so it is the perfect blend of privacy and community. It is a quiet slice of paradise with beautiful weather year-round and close to every cultural opportunity you could imagine.

Our Extended Family

Kim is the youngest in her family with an older brother, sister, and a half-sister. She has four nieces in their 20s and two teenage nephews. Kim’s family enjoys being together and the atmosphere is always filled with laughter. They are incredibly supportive of our decision to adopt.

Jeff grew up with one older sister, his mom and dad, and his amazing grandparents who taught him to fish, play cards, and to become a fantastic cook. Sadly, Jeff’s mom passed away when he was 18. His family enjoys playing cards, traveling, following/playing sports, and huge family reunions. It’s amazing how well we mesh with each other’s families.

Sometimes friends are so close they become a second family. Kim and Kel have been best friends for 30 years and were on vacation when Kel met her husband. They have traveled, moved, and supported each other through the years. Kim was with Kel and Tim during the birth of their two sons and is a proud “Auntie.” From the second Jeff arrived, it seemed like he had been a part of everyone’s lives forever. We all share a love of life, hockey, laughter, and each other.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our biggest dream is to become parents and we have built our lives with this as our goal. When it came time for us to be able to do this, we were unable to conceive. We considered alternative ways of conceiving, but felt that adoption was the path we were led to. Adoption is not new to us or our family. Kim has a half sister Kelly, who her mom placed for adoption when she was a baby.

Our families, friends, and coworkers always tell us we will be great parents. We believe life will be more fulfilling with someone to share our values of loving, learning, compassion, and passion for life.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
