dear expectant mother
Thank you so much for taking the time to look through our profile. We have prayed for the day when we can give the love that is in our hearts to another child.
We do not know what feelings you may have right now, but we can assure you, if you choose us, your child will be raised in a loving home with a very loving family surrounding them. We will love, encourage, teach, learn with, comfort and laugh with them throughout all of life’s ups and downs. Life’s experiences are what shape a child as they grow, and we certainly want to provide many experiences for your child to grow into a loving and caring adult. Throughout all of this, we will keep you in our hearts and prayers and make sure your child knows about the tough decision you had to make because of the love you had for them. If it meets your needs, we would like to have some openness in our relationship with you. We look forward to learning about you, what’s important to you, and what desires you have.
We wish you peace and comfort while deciding the best path for you and your precious baby.
About Us
Hi, we are Somer, Jason, and Jacob! Thank you for taking some time to take a small peek into our lives to learn more about us. Our story together began in 2003 on Match.com. It didn’t take us very long after meeting to know this was going to be something special. Our relationship grew naturally, and after about three years of dating, we were engaged in 2006. We spent a good amount of time planning the perfect wedding, and we were finally married in 2008. We knew for some time that we wanted children and to grow our family, but we are unable to. In 2017 we were blessed with our son, Jacob, through adoption. We have so much love in our hearts to share, and the desire to grow our family has only grown.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a four-bedroom, two-story home in a subdivision in Michigan with lots of other young, growing families. There are always children playing or riding their bikes. It's very quiet and close to all the schools, which makes it a wonderful place to raise a child. There's nothing better than just sitting on the patio and enjoying a warm evening while Jacob plays on his playground or trampoline. The fenced backyard helps children stay safe while running around and having fun. We have one dog, a yellow Lab named Saide. She is great with Jacob, and most of the time they just want to cuddle! She is always waiting for Jacob to wake up so they can lay together.
Our Extended Family
Family is very important to both of us, and we are fortunate to have many wonderful people in our lives. Our parents love the idea of becoming grandparents once again. Our entire family is so in love with Jacob that we know they are all excited for us to welcome a baby into our family.
Jason's whole family still lives in Missouri. His parents are happily retired, which means they're able to visit us quite often. We love going there to celebrate the holidays, birthdays, and other special events: the Arch, Union Station, local events, and almost anywhere fun where Jacob can be a kid. They're a wonderful group of people to be around, and we have no doubt our next child will be welcomed into this family with open arms.
Somer's family lives pretty close to us in Michigan, and we try our best to visit with her mom every week. Her sister and her husband live close to her mom, so it will be great to have all of the cousins coming together to play and for the holidays. We are also close with her stepmom, who lives fairly close to our home.
Our Adoption Story
Our adoption journey started in 2015 when we determined we would be unable to safely have a baby. That same year we started the domestic adoption process, and in 2017 we were blessed by a wonderful couple to be the parents of our awesome son. Jacob has been an amazing blessing, a highlight in our lives, and a wonderful reason for anyone to keep living their best life. He is our world. We always knew we wanted to have two children, so in 2021 we made the decision to start the adoption process again with Angel Adoptions. We are very excited to welcome a baby to our family, and Jacob can’t wait to have a little brother or sister.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
