dear expectant mother
We feel so incredibly lucky to have this opportunity to have a family together. We have always been open to the beautiful choice of adoption and after our challenges with infertility, we feel this is how God is calling us to grow our family.
We cannot imagine what you are going through and have been praying for you to find strength and peace. We hope to build a relationship with you if you are open to it, so we can walk this journey together. This is a tremendous gift you are considering us to receive. Your child will always know the amazingly selfless and loving choice you made. We want you to know we intend to raise your child with love, with kindness, and in a faith-filled home. We would love your child unconditionally, with all our hearts.
We met at the University of Wyoming in 2008. We were both education majors and discovered a shared passion for teaching and education. Emily now teaches Kindergarten and Jason teaches high school English. We both enjoy helping our students reach their full potential. We are also both part-time graduate students; Emily is going for her Masters in Early Childhood Education and Jason for his PhD in Curriculum Studies. Emily aspires to run her own preschool one day while Jason hopes to become a professor.
When not teaching or studying for grad school, we both enjoy hiking and kayaking. Jason is also an avid musician, having played guitar for over 20 years. In her spare time, Emily loves cooking, baking, and making crafts.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a two-story townhome on a quiet cul-de-sac with a large courtyard in the center. We have a nice big kitchen for Emily’s cooking and baking, a cozy living room for reading, games, and watching movies, and a quiet basement office and music room for studying and practice. We are just a few blocks away from a junior high school with a great field for playing fetch with the dogs and an elementary school with a playground and park.
We have two dogs: a three-year-old Scottish terrier named Polar, and a Labradoodle puppy named Snickers. Snickers actually goes to school with Emily and is in training to be a therapy dog!
Our Extended Family
Emily is originally from Denver, Colorado. Her parents still live in the house she grew up in and her older brother, Adam, lives with his wife, Leslie, just ten miles southwest of the city. We try to get to Denver regularly to see family and friends; celebrate holidays together; attend Rockies, Avalanche, and Broncos games; and take in shows and concerts.
Jason is from Nova Scotia, on Canada’s east coast. His parents live in Sarnia, Ontario, a border city to Port Huron, Michigan, and his sister, Heidi, lives about two hours away in Windsor, Ontario. Heidi and her husband, Jeff, have two daughters, Isabelle (age nine) and Gabi (age seven). Trips to Ontario typically consist of spending time with our nieces at gymnastics practice and dance recitals, hanging out at the lake, or watching hockey because, well, it’s Canada!
What Led Us To Adoption
We have dreamed of raising a family together since we first started dating. After three years of marriage and two dogs, the only thing missing is a beautiful baby to make our family complete. Adoption was always something we felt could change our lives for the better. Then, after our second wedding anniversary, we learned of our issues with infertility. This showed us God was truly calling us to adopt a child. We could not be more thrilled to begin this journey.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
