Even though we don’t know you, we can’t help feeling an overwhelming flood of emotions when we think of you. Our hearts go out to you as you face monumental decisions for you and your child. We have an incredible amount of respect and admiration for you and can only imagine how unbelievably difficult this decision must be. Nonetheless, the fact that you are considering adoption shows the amount of love you have for your child and that you have his or her best interests at heart.
Although we don’t know exactly what the future holds for us, we do know that we are ready to welcome a child into our family. The life we dream of for a child includes lots of giggles and snuggles, family get-togethers, storybook time, holiday celebrations, and most of all—lots of love. We hope you will learn how much we have to offer your child by reviewing our profile, and how grateful we are to you for possibly making our dreams of parenthood become a reality.
We know that truth and honesty are so important in all relationships and think that every child benefits from knowing where they come from. So please know that our door will always be open and that you will always be an important part of our child's story. He/she will know that his/her story is a story of selflessness and sacrifice, bravery and love, courage and compassion.
“We may not have it all together, but together we have it all!” We’re Jake and Stephanie and we could not be more excited about becoming parents through adoption! We hope this snapshot gives you a glimpse into the life, love, and laughter we will share with your child.
A simple twist of fate brought us together in the summer of 2005. Attending as his Dad’s +1, we met nearly twelve years ago at the wedding of Stephanie’s sister. Always the life of the party, Jake stole Stephanie’s heart out on the dance floor and, together, we have been dancing through life ever since. We have been married for over six years and the one thing we can say is that laughter is a constant in our home and is what made us fall in love with each other. Stephanie was (and still is) drawn to Jake’s sense of humor, blatant honesty, impeccable work ethic and his desire to live life to the fullest. It is impossible to not break into a smile or laughter when he is around. Although more of an introvert, Stephanie is a very kind, generous and loving person who has a tremendous ability to see the best qualities in every person.
A Veteran of the U.S. Army where he served a tour of duty in Iraq and El Salvador, Jake is currently employed as a Software Implementations Team Lead who works from his home office. Stephanie works for the State where she performs Finance / Accounting duties and other Administrative tasks. Outside of work, we love being outdoors in the summertime, staying cozy inside in the wintertime watching movies and making popcorn, traveling, and are always finding new things to do together. We truly are each other’s best friends!
Our Home & Pets
We recently purchased a home in a very family/child oriented and diverse neighborhood. We are in a safe, up and coming community close to downtown and within walking distance of numerous shops, restaurants, parks, street festivals, playgrounds, pools, beaches, museums, aquariums and zoos. We look forward to plenty of adventures in our own backyard and want to expose our child to as many different lifestyles and cultures as possible. Our new home has plenty of space for children to play and a large outdoor patio that serves as the perfect oasis for grilling out with family and friends. In addition to our beautiful home, pets have always been a big part of our family! Our cats, Duke & Bentley, are currently the love of our lives! They like to cuddle, are full of energy, are sometimes mischievous (enjoy eating toilet paper and scattering their toys throughout the house) and are just the sweetest, most adorable and gentle animals you will ever meet.
Our Extended Family
Our friends and family are very supportive and are just as excited about our adoption journey as we are! The love we hold for our families was one of the things that attracted us to each other from the start. We both had very happy childhoods and parents who were - and are - wonderful role models for us. We have endless support around us and are looking forward to raising our child within a tight network of family and friends.
We are fortunate to live almost right in the middle of both of our families. Stephanie is a twin and has three sisters, two of which live in the suburbs. Her parents live roughly three hours north, however, we see them often as they are retired and love to visit. Jake’s entire family lives in the opposite direction, three hours south, and consists of three siblings; two brothers and a sister. In addition, between the two of us, we have numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents.
Summers and holidays are constantly filled with family gatherings, outings, and celebrations. Together we have one niece and four nephews who are so looking forward to a new life-long friend and cousin to play with at these events.
What Led Us To Adoption
Both of us have always been open to adoption and have discussed this as a possibility for many years, even before we got married. In the last several months, as we discovered that we are not getting any younger, there was no doubt in our minds that adoption would be how we would expand our family. We are so excited to share our love and laughter with our child while exploring the world together.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
