Dear Birthmom

We are amazed by the wisdom, strength, and love you have that has brought you to an adoption plan for your child. We would be honored to be considered as a loving family for your child. You would help us to grow our family as we have dreamed, though we are unable to do on our own. We would like to take a moment in the next couple paragraphs to describe what you and your child could expect as a part of our family.

We cherish our family time on a daily and weekly basis. Our four-year-old daughter knows that dinnertime is family time. We turn off all electronics and share our days with each other. Every weekend day we call a family day. We take this opportunity to spend time taking adventures to parks, family outings, a train ride to the city, and breakfast at our favorite locally owned family restaurant. Our daughter also enjoys her weekly dance class and swimming lessons. She attends a private preschool that is bringing out the best in her.

We have known each other for ten years, and each day brings us closer together as we embrace new journeys and challenges hand-in-hand. Our daughter is considered in every decision we make, and we make sure that she is equipped with the tools she needs to be the best that she can be.

Your child would be surrounded by the love of two Dads, a sister, and a puppy brother Golden Retriever, raised in a household that would equip him or her to be the best he or she can be.

We are thankful for your decision to consider adoption and to consider us as parents to your child.

About Us

Ten years ago, we met at Starbucks while Huxley was a traveling manager. We noticed each other, but because he was traveling it took a couple weeks for him to find Cullen. When Huxley did, he called the location and left his number and a description of himself. After two weeks of texting and talking on the phone, we had our first date, and our journey has continued. We married in November of 2013. Our relationship has been an exciting journey ever since, including the adoption of our daughter, Kennedy, and two years living in Grenada, West Indies while Cullen attended medical school. Now we are living in Oak Park, Illinois, while Cullen finishes medical school.

Our Home & Pets

Currently, we reside in a new high-rise located in Oak Park, Illinois. It is a wonderful building with several amenities. Directly across the street is a wonderful park that allows hours of outside playtime with our daughter and our Golden Retriever, Finley, who is six years old. Once Cullen completes medical school our goal is to purchase a home again.

Our Extended Family

We have a wonderful and loving family. Cullen’s parents live approximately four hours away, just west of Springfield, Illinois, and they visit frequently. They are wonderful grandparents and can’t wait to open their arms to another grandchild. Huxley has a sister that lives approximately 50 minutes away in Wisconsin. She has four children ranging in ages from 14-26. We have several family gatherings with them since they are so close. Huxley’s other sister lives in Tucson, Arizona, with her husband and daughter. We are able to see them each year. Both our families love getting together as a large group to celebrate holidays and family get-togethers. Holidays and birthdays are always spent with our extended family. We love incorporating traditions from both families and making new traditions.

What Led Us To Adoption

When we had our first date, we discussed having a family and how that would come to be. In 2014, we started our family with the adoption of our beautiful daughter. Cullen grew up an only child and Huxley is the oldest of three children. We always knew we wanted our daughter to have siblings. We have the love, desire, and resources to adopt another child, and we can’t wait to grow our family!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
