dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for considering adoption. We are so grateful you are open to such a loving and selfless option. We admire your strength and would be eternally grateful to provide your child a life full of love and excitement should you choose us. We are overjoyed at the prospect of growing our family.

We’re extremely close with our family and grateful for all the love and fun times we’ve had with them. We’re looking forward to sharing these experiences. Our family and friends have children ranging in age from newborn to seven years old, so your child would make friends quickly. If we are blessed to become parents, we promise your child will always be surrounded with love, adventures, and help on that pesky math homework! We are honored you are considering us and promise your child will always know how brave and loving you are.

About Us

Both of us studied mathematics in college, but we never met until senior year, when we were randomly paired to co-teach a high school math class for pre-teaching experience. Nothing breaks the ice better than teaching in front of each other, and it wasn’t long until we started dating! Holly loves how Dan is caring, outgoing, and a child at heart. Dan loves how Holly is kind, motivated, and enjoys playing games. Even though Dan is a bit on the competitive side, Holly keeps him in line!

Our Home & Pets

We live in a family-focused community that offers an exceptional school district and a lot of walking trails within forest preserves. We enjoy going on hikes and going to the nearby drive-in theater to watch our favorite movies on the big screen. We live in a two-story house with our Jack Russell, Buffy. She loves lying in the sun, chasing squirrels, and snuggling by the fireplace. We love hosting holidays and family gatherings. One of the guest rooms in our house has bunk beds. This is often the room of choice for guests with children since they can build forts and play.

Our Extended Family

We love living close to family. Holly’s parents live in the same town, while Dan’s family is located fairly close.

We love coming up with couple/group costumes for Halloween or annual themed parties. Every year we host a self-created holiday, Thanksmas, to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas with close friends. Buffy especially loves getting dressed up or, more realistically, chasing after her costume after she’s taken her mandatory photo.

We also enjoy family vacations, including an annual trip to New Buffalo with Dan’s family to visit the beach, go kayaking, and try new restaurants. More often, we enjoy low-key weekends at home making cookies, playing board/video games, and having movie nights with Dan’s homemade popcorn.

What Led Us To Adoption

We always dreamed of growing our family, so it was very difficult when we found out we both struggle with infertility. While it was a tough journey, we’re so grateful for how much closer it brought us to each other and to our families. People who are close to us, including Holly’s mom, are adopted or have adopted. Both of us were fortunate enough to have amazing childhoods molded by selfless parents who loved us unconditionally. Now we would like to be the ones who create those new and wonderful memories with a child.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
