dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We haven’t met you, but you’re already the strongest person we know. It’s hard to comprehend the decision-making process you’ve had to go through to get to this point. We’re sure it’s also very difficult to try to define who we are with only a simple profile.

What we can tell you is that we are the type of people who would give our all for this child. Our lives will completely change, and we look forward to that opportunity if you so desire. This is such an important choice, and we want you to be comfortable and empowered in making it. This process can be overwhelming, so we’d like to walk side by side with you through it, supporting you where we can. We are grateful beyond words for you and would be honored and privileged to be chosen.

About Us

We had an instant connection in college where we both ran track and met at a house party…even though Raven confused Heather’s name by calling her Hillary. Fourteen years later, we’re more in love than ever! We are a fun, stable and loving couple who have accomplished many things but are not yet fulfilled in life. Heather is an IT consultant, and Raven is a branch associate for a construction company. We’ve both had to start at the bottom to work our way up and are very proud of that. We like to travel, go to movies, play with our dogs, and just spend quality time together. Heather is slowly getting her pilot’s license as a side gig and loves her shoes (seriously, it might be a problem). Raven enjoys building and riding motorcycles and working on projects around our new home.

Our Home & Pets

We recently built a home and moved to a small town in Colorado with a great school district to provide the kind of childhood we both experienced. Playing outside, riding bikes to friends’ houses, being close to neighbors, and being involved in the community were all important for us growing up. We have three friendly, silly dogs who love to play, go on car rides, and run at the park. They can’t wait to have a little brother or sister to love! There are several parks within walking distance and family events the town puts on, like watching movies on the baseball field on Friday nights or the yearly summer celebration with a parade, food, and activities.

Our Extended Family

If there was anyone more excited about adoption than us, it would be our parents. To say they are thrilled is an understatement! Both of our parents have been married for over 35 years and moved to Colorado about a year ago, so we get together often. Heather has a younger sister and two older brothers. Raven has an older sister. We are very close to our immediate family. We both come from large extended families with many aunts, uncles, and cousins; not many of them live in Colorado, so we see them on holidays and communicate mainly through social media.

What Led Us To Adoption

We are thrilled to be going through the adoption process! It’s overwhelming in every way, as it should be, because in the end, it’s completely worth it. For us, adoption means we are making a choice to be there for this child at every stage of life. Although it’s been a long road, we could not be happier to experience every aspect of parenthood. We’ve been married for eight years, and for six of those, we have been trying to conceive. When fertility treatments failed, we decided adoption was the best route for us. We have the ability, desire, and all the love in the world to provide a happy and loving home for a child.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
