dear expectant mother
The love and hope you have for your child is truly inspiring, and we greatly admire you and your selflessness. Amazed by your strength and touched by your sacrifice, we are honored knowing you are taking the time to view our profile. Your act of complete and unconditional love is one we will always cherish and value. It is a decision we will share with your child often, reminding this precious little one just how cherished, valued, and respected you are.
For us, your decision is the most wonderful gift, one to be genuinely appreciated. Bedtime stories, trips to the zoo or ballpark, and building a snowman together are just a few of the activities your love will provide us. Your love will allow us the opportunity to applaud each new accomplishment, comfort every hurt, and enjoy the wonder and excitement of each new discovery. While we cannot adequately express just how much your choice means to us, we do promise to not take one second you give us for granted. We promise to love your child endlessly, support your child always, and share hugs abundantly. We know you are making a difficult decision, but we wish to thank you for considering us as you make this truly heartfelt decision for you and your baby.
We met in 2005 at the school where we both teach when we were paired up to team teach. Although John remembers meeting Heather several years earlier, she has no recollection of that meeting. Despite this, John never forgot the sound of Heather’s laugh. Our relationship was very easy from the beginning, as if we had known each other most of our lives. Near the end of John’s first year of teaching, we began dating and have been together ever since. We married in June of 2007. We truly love each other’s company and do most things as a couple. Since we teach at the same high school, we even get to spend our workdays near each other. When not teaching, we spend time going to plays, musicals, concerts, and baseball games. We also enjoy going to museums and the zoo with friends.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a three-bedroom townhome located in a diverse community in northern Illinois. We share our home with four wonderful kitties: Electra, Simona, Phineas, and Estrella. Children in our community are often outside playing and riding bikes together. In the summer, we enjoy grilling with our neighbors and watching movies in the park. Being close to Wisconsin allows us to spend time outside fishing, sightseeing, and enjoying numerous activities and events.
Our Extended Family
John is the oldest of four children, whereas Heather is the oldest of three. Frequent gatherings with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins were common growing up. Despite our families now being spread out, we still keep in contact, and our family gatherings are always joyous and fun. Family and close friends are excited for us as we seek to complete our own family through adoption.
As we travel through the adoption experience, we look forward to sharing so much with a new child: the opportunity for John to teach your child how to keep score at a ballgame game while Heather shares a malt cup, buying a pair of moccasins at the same place where John’s father bought his first pair as a child in northern Wisconsin, and traveling to Disney World to float through It’s a Small World, fly on Dumbo, watch fireworks, and meet Mickey. Of course, there are simpler traditions such as trips to the library for a new book to read, making a bowl of popcorn and watching an old movie, and baking cookies and decorating them for Christmas.
What Led Us To Adoption
We are unable to have children using conventional methods, and feel in our hearts that it is truly God’s plan for us to become parents through the miracle of adoption. We have a number of friends who have either adopted their children or been adopted themselves. Being teachers, we have also seen firsthand how students who are adopted flourish with their chosen families. Having seen what a wonderful experience adoption is for others, we know this is what we are destined to do.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
