About Us

We met 6 years ago on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. Gregg was working in an Emergency Department on the island as part of his Emergency Medicine residency program and Shea was an Air Traffic Controller for the United States Navy. After dating long distance, Shea retired from the military, moved to the mainland, and we got married a couple years later in Santa Barbara. We now live in a large metropolitan city where Shea works for a large real estate company and Gregg is an emergency physician at a major academic medical center. We love to go skiing in the winter and enjoy the sun all summer long with street festivals, BBQs with friends, or lazy days at the beach. We have both always loved to travel and are fortunate enough to be able to get away frequently to experience all the amazing people, cultures, food and architecture all around the world.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a brand new 3-bedroom condo on a quiet tree lined street with a huge roof deck that has beautiful skyline views of downtown. It’s a vibrant neighborhood with a suburban feel where parents are very involved with the school and community. We chose to live in this neighborhood so we would have access to one of the top public elementary schools in the city. Our diverse neighborhood has lots of restaurants, shopping and we are only a few blocks from the lake where we love to ride our bikes and go to the beach in the summer. The metro is a couple blocks over and downtown is only minutes away with access to tons of museums, theaters, the zoo, and everything else a major city has to offer. We have two cocker spaniels named Tanner and Dawson. They are 4 years old and two of the cuddliest dogs ever!

Our Extended Family

Shea’s family is mostly located in the southeast and Gregg’s is almost entirely in California. Gregg has an older brother who has 7 year-old twin boys. His parents have been married for 45 years and can’t wait to be grandparents of a baby once again. Shea is extremely close to his grandparents and probably talks to his grandma every other day. Shea has also built a family of close friends that have become like brothers and sister. We see our immediate family multiple times a year and try do at least one family vacation each year. We also look forward to the holidays when we can catch up with our many aunts, uncles, and cousins. We cherish these moments with our families and don’t take for granted the love and support we receive from them.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always wanted to have a child and can’t wait to be parents. On one of our first dates the topic of having children was brought up to make sure we were both on the same page. We decided we wanted an infant because we want to experience everything about being a parent. From bringing the baby home from the hospital, to that first sleepless night worrying about what each little sound may mean. Our child will be the center of our world and we will make sure they have every opportunity possible to grow up happy, healthy and accomplish all of their goals and dreams.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
