dear expectant mother

We cannot even begin to imagine how difficult this time is for you as you prepare to make such a huge personal sacrifice for your baby. We know there may be fears and concerns when choosing someone for this very important moment and would like to express how grateful we will be if you chose our family.

All we can do is make this sincere promise to you for the future. Your child will know they are loved every single moment of their lives. They will be surrounded by lots of family and friends that will support them in everything they do. We will be dedicated parents and always be honest and open with them. We will give them lots of snuggles and always be our goofy, fun-loving selves. He or she will have big brothers that adore them and who will protect them always.

We cannot wait to add another little one to our family and look forward to meeting you and sharing more about our family. We know this decision is not taken lightly and are very appreciative you have taken the time to get to know us better.

About Us

We are a fun-loving couple who enjoy life. Kim was born in Trinidad and Gene was born in Puerto Rico, but they have both lived in South Florida for most of their lives. Gene came into the marriage in 2005 with two sons, Adrian and Eric, who were four and two at the time. Kim always wanted a large family and was happy to start her life as a stepmom to the boys. In 2016, we decided to expand our family through adoption, and in May of 2017 our youngest son, Matthew, came into our lives and has kept us all on our toes ever since. Kim works from home and Gene has a flexible schedule, which allows him to work from home part of the week, as well. Gene loves to read and travel, while Kim loves doing crafts, cooking, and taking pictures of her family. We have a great group of friends and are also part of an adoption group.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a very quiet neighborhood in South Florida. Our home is in a cul-de-sac and right near a lake. There are a lot of young kids on our street, and we have a great park within walking distance of our home. There’s so much room to grow in our home, and we look forward to expanding our family. We have a big back yard and a pool, and we enjoy being outdoors and grilling as often as possible. We have amazing neighbors and love taking long walks outside with Matthew. We usually take our dog, Honey, with us, and we absolutely love her.

Our Extended Family

Kim comes from a very large and extremely close family from the small Caribbean island of Trinidad. Both of her parents still live there, as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is the oldest child of four, with two brothers and one sister. At least once a year, we take a family trip to see everyone. Our boys absolutely love it there, and they enjoy having an extra set of aunts, uncles, and grandparents. When we’re all together, we spend a lot of our time in the kitchen together cooking and enjoy telling stories of when we were younger.

Gene’s family is significantly smaller than Kim’s, but equally as loving and excited for us to be adopting. Gene lived with his grandparents in Puerto Rico for many years before moving to Miami in high school to live with his mom. His grandparents made him who he is today by providing him with endless love and support. After he moved to Miami, he also reconnected with his father, who lived there as well. His father remarried, and now Gene has a half-sister we both adore! Everyone is so excited for us to be expanding our family, and we are so lucky to have their support.

Our Adoption Story

We started trying to have kids within a year of getting married but found Kim has a medical condition which made it quite difficult to get pregnant. Kim always felt strongly about wanting to adopt regardless of whether or not we had biological children, so in 2016, we decided to start the adoption process. In May of 2017, we received the most amazing blessing when our youngest son, Matthew, was born. He has been the most amazing addition to our family and has filled our lives with joy and laughter since the first day we met. We truly had an amazing experience adopting and cannot wait to start the process again.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
