About Us
Emelie works in the construction industry for a local general contractor. She is always available to help her family, friends, and neighbors. Emelie enjoys being active by working out, walking the dogs (Raven and Blossom), bike rides, golfing, and traveling. Michael is in the commercial banking industry. He is caring and giving, and being active would describe Michael’s personality. He is always up for various activities and keeping family and friends connected. Michael’s hobbies include playing sports, working out, cooking, and snowmobiling. We both enjoy being outside during the summer and winter months. We enjoy snowmobiling, snowboarding, golfing, boating, and walks with our two dogs. We also enjoy cooking meals together, watching movies and shows, and spending time with our families and friends.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a western suburb of Minnesota. We built our home a little over four years ago, and our quiet neighborhood is filled with kids of many ages. The schools in our community consistently receive high ratings, and the elementary school is a short walk away from our home, with a nice playground and plenty of open green space to play. There are many trails in our community as well. Local attractions consist of lakes, restaurants, playgrounds, the community rec center, and county parks for camping, biking, and fishing. We also have two dogs, Raven and Blossom. They are both rescues, are very friendly, and have spent a lot of time with neighborhood kids, friends’ kids, and our nephews.
Our Extended Family
Emelie has one younger sister, who lives in Minnesota with her three boys. Her father lives in North Dakota on the family farm. Most of her cousins are in North Dakota. Over the holidays, we get together to enjoy food, games, and bonfires in the woods or fields.
Michael is an only child. His parents are from Minnesota too. Michael’s extended family consists of over 30 cousins, and most of his family is located in Minnesota. They usually connect in the summer for a family reunion and over the holidays for a family cookie bake in northern Minnesota.
We consider our close group of college friends to be extended family as well. Every year we get together over a long summer weekend to enjoy the lakes up north, boating, fishing, playing games with all the kids, and spending quality time with our friends. We also do an annual holiday and New Year’s celebration with our friends and their kids. We get together up north for food, friends, games, ice fishing, sledding, and ice skating.
What Led Us To Adoption
After finding out we were not able to have biological children over a year and a half ago, we discussed taking the adoption journey. Our dream is to be parents, and adopting will make this dream come true. We are excited to open our home to a child. We have been touched by a couple friends who have adopted and received nothing but positive feedback on their journeys. We are ready to give our future child a fun, caring, and loving home.

Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
