dear expectant mother
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We cannot pretend to understand the decisions you are facing right now, but the fact that you are looking at this shows just how much you truly love your child.
We are both loving, affectionate, loyal people who enjoy spending time with each other and our dogs. We love to adventure, explore the outdoors, eat off the land, and travel together. It would be an honor to share the excitement of new places and experiences with your child. Family is second only to God in our lives, and our faith guides the decisions we make as a family. We have close relationships with our families and are excited to pass on the traditions given to us. We want to be able to share the delight of smelling the Thanksgiving food as it cooks all day, the excitement of waking up on Christmas while it’s still dark and seeing the glowing Christmas tree, connecting with family to open gifts together, and the fun of setting apart your birthday as a special day where you get to pick whatever you want for dinner.
One page is not enough to truly get to know people, but we hope your interest has been sparked. We wish there were words so you would understand how truly loved and cared for your child will be if you entrust them to us.
We are Joel and Elizabeth. We met back in 2006 in a church group right after Joel got out of the Marines. We stayed friends through many life experiences, and after ten years, Joel decided to move to Wyoming to marry Elizabeth. We have been sharing this adventure called life ever since. Joel does plumbing during the week and, on the weekends, can often be found hiking or fishing. Elizabeth manages a local pharmacy and loves to listen to music, work in her garden, preserve food, and try new recipes. We enjoy being able to do things together and try to plan our weekends around things like hiking, wildlife photography, or gardening. Joel is very into fitness, and we spend several evenings a week at the gym. Other nights you can find us sitting at home relaxing and watching movies together.
Our Home & Pets
We love our state of Wyoming, where it’s sunny most days of the year. We live in a cozy two-bedroom ranch-style house that we share with our two dogs, Remington and Rutherford. They are older dogs and are the biggest sweethearts; they both love playing with young children. We have a nice yard with a privacy fence and a very extensive vegetable garden, where we grow vegetables to last the year. Living in a small town, there are many friendly families in our neighborhood. We look forward to the gift of showing your child the joys of community and sharing our love of being outside, whether working or relaxing.
Our Extended Family
Joel is the only boy among seven sisters. We make it a priority to stay in touch with his parents, sister, and numerous nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is the oldest of five. Her siblings and parents are scattered across the country. They prioritize relationships with each other, and we regularly video chat so we can have a relationship with the younger generation even though they are far away.
Family tradition was a large part of both of our childhoods, from cooking enchiladas and gathering with family on Christmas Eve to sharing what you’re thankful for at Thanksgiving dinner and having your favorite meal on your birthday. These and the traditions we have made as our own family are something we long to share with your child.
Both our families are incredibly excited for us to adopt, to the point of already picking out baby clothes, and they are looking forward to spoiling a new grandbaby. We also have friends who are as close as family who have been there for us every step of our journey to grow our family.
What Led Us To Adoption
Coming from large families, the idea of having our own family has always been very important to us. While trying unsuccessfully to get pregnant, we started on our journey of adoption. The process has brought us closer together as a couple and has strengthened our love for each other and for our future family. We have also had much care and support in our decision from our families and close friends, many of whom have also walked the path of adoption. We are expectant and hopeful for the future, whatever it may hold.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
