Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents. We know this is a very tough decision, and it is very difficult to deal with. While we know you are experiencing difficult emotions, we are privileged that you are taking the time to review our letter. We will keep you in our prayers as you go through this transition. If you choose us as adoptive parents, we will take great care of your child and we will give him or her a great life with great parents. It has been a very tough and difficult journey for us in trying to grow our family. We have faith that God has a plan for us all.
If you choose us, your child will grow up in a Christian home and he or she will go to a loving church. We will go on family trips, and we will keep your child active. We will make sure your child gets a great education - we will make school a high priority. We will also create a college fund so your child will have a head start to a successful life.
If you choose us, it will be our greatest accomplishment in life to raise your child and to make our family whole. God has blessed us with a wonderful family. We are very grateful for this journey of adoption. May God Bless You!
We are a Christian family that spends quality time in church. Both of us were raised in the church. We love spending time with each other as well as with family and friends. We love going to the movies, fairs, and sporting events. We have been married for 13 years and overall we’ve been together for 19 years. We meet through a friend in high school and started a long, loving relationship. We got married at young age, and though odds were not in our favor, we kept the Lord in our marriage.
Duran has been with his company, for 14 years. He is a plumbing supervisor in the construction industry. He works for a fortune 100 company and has continued to progress at his company. Shunda has been with her current company, as a telephone banker for two years. She was with her last company for 14 years. We are avid Dallas Cowboys fans.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a very quiet middle-class neighborhood that has lots of young kids. There is a low crime rate. The neighbors are friendly and our immediate neighbors are like family. We bought our house in 2009 and we are well known around the neighborhood. We have a great school district with excellent academics and sports. We have two local water parks within 15 minutes and a Six Flags theme park also nearby. We are close to three professional sports venues. The area is great for kids to grow and it has lots of other outdoor activities. We currently do not have a pet but we will get a new puppy soon.
Our Extended Family
We have a good size immediate family and a large extended family, all of whom are very close. Our immediate family consists of two sisters and one brother. We also have two nieces and two nephews, ages 19, 11, 9, and 3, respectively. Also, we have one great-niece, age two. We also have very close friends who have a newborn. He is our godson. We have a very large extended family. We regularly hang out with a lot of our cousins.
We have a very large family reunion yearly. There are a lot of young kids that we have activities for. I am the president of the family reunion, a position that I am proud of and take very seriously. We have a yearly Christmas party at our house for our immediate family on Christmas Eve where we exchange gifts. We have Thanksgiving at each family’s house and we have Christmas together. We will cherish the day when we can share these traditions with a child.
What Led Us To Adoption
Shunda was pregnant, when we first got married in 2004, but sadly she miscarried 3 months later. Since then we have not been able to conceive. We sought the help of doctors and have gone through multiple surgeries and IVF. Unfortunately, none of the procedures were successful. Our dream is to have a baby and grow our family. We feel God's plan has led us to adoption. We are excited about the opportunity to adopt and ready for this great journey.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
