dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We are so excited you have taken the time to get to know us a little bit by looking through our profile. It is sometimes hard to fully believe we may get the opportunity to love and raise another child in our house! Our words will never be enough to let you know how excited we truly are to help raise a child in a godly, loving home.

We have always loved doing life together with kids, whether our own or children from the places we work. Going to sporting events, baking, playing outside, watching movies, and laughing together are just some of the things we look forward to. We also know life isn’t easy, and we are so lucky to have been taught how to handle life when stuff gets crazy and messy. We know we cannot do life on our own, and that is why family and close friends are so important to us.

Please know that our house is so full of love that your child, should you choose us, would always know how loved they are. We would always be there to cheer them on and also be a shoulder to cry on as we all know life can be tough. Thank you for considering us.

About Us

We both work at a private school in our town, where we’ve lived for over a decade. Doug also serves as youth minister at a local church. We have been happily married for 15 years and together as a couple for more than 17. When we say happily, we mean that. We work well together as a team and truly enjoy each other’s company and companionship. We both come from tight-knit families and have had great examples of marriage modeled for us. Family is the most important thing to us. We have an eight-year-old daughter who is the best part of us. She is so loved by us and our families. One thing she always knows is that in our house, she will be loved always and unconditionally.

Our Home & Pets

We have a four-bedroom home on a corner lot in a great neighborhood. There is a big yard with plenty of room to play outside and a basketball hoop. We have a park just around the block from our home that also has access to a local bike trail we use all the time. On most days, you’ll see people in our neighborhood out and about and walking around. Our community has so many activities and things to enjoy. One of our favorite things to do is attend local sporting events for the kids we work with at school and church. We have two dogs, Zion is a mixed Lab/Shepard pup around 4 years old and Remi is a Chocolate Lab at 7 months old.

Our Extended Family

As we mentioned, we both come from tight-knit families. Brittany’s family lives close by, and we see them all the time. Doug’s family is more spread out, but we get together several times a year. We have family gatherings for every holiday and have family birthday parties for the kids. Getting together with family is one of our favorite things.

Our families were so excited when we told them we wanted to adopt a child. We are very lucky to have active family members in our lives. We have family a few minutes away from us and extended family all around as some live close by and others within a couple of hours. Our family members are our biggest cheerleaders with everything we do. They all do their best to be consistently around and a part of school, church, and sports activities. We do our best to get together as often as possible to hang out or eat meals together.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have several friends who have either adopted or were adopted when they were children. All of these friends have wonderful testimonies about how amazing adoption can be. We’ve felt for many years that adoption was going to be a part of our future. After we had our daughter, we knew our family was not yet complete. More recently, we both have had strong feelings that we definitely want to grow our family through this beautiful journey. We both feel blessed that we’ve created a strong, loving family, and we have wonderful extended families that love and support us as well. We know we can provide a wonderful family for another child.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
