dear expectant mother
You are our hero. We understand this is a difficult and life-changing decision. We’ve been there, and we know. We will be there for you and your precious child.
We have been entrusted to care for so many people’s children when they didn’t trust anyone else. We are natural-born parents but life has thrown us a curveball, and we do the best we can with what we have. We get to love on our nieces, nephews, and friends’ children as much as we can. We strongly believe our lives have crossed with yours for a reason. Your selfless and courageous decision can finally make us the parents we were designed to be.
We promise to love your child unconditionally. We will celebrate their successes and wipe their tears when they are hurting. They will be surrounded by happiness and creativity, and they will have our full support in whatever they want to try. We are ready to hear a child’s laughter and the pitter-patter of little footsteps in our home. We are ready to take on the biggest responsibility of our lives.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We love the Lord, we love each other, and we will most certainly love your priceless gift. God bless you.
Our paths crossed 26 years ago in the United States Air Force. After only a few months of dating, we knew it was love and got married! Being military, we have lived in several locations in the U.S. and abroad and have what we consider family everywhere! Although we are geographically separated from our biological families, we remain very close and see them throughout the year. We have wonderful and very supportive church family and friends that we get together with quite often. We are actively involved in our church. Derrick is on the Praise and Worship team, and Keri serves on the Outreach and First Impressions teams. We enjoy going camping, volunteering, traveling, outdoor activities, and going to sporting events as well as time spent at home crafting, playing games, watching movies, and cuddling.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a three-bedroom, open and cozy condo in suburban Kentucky with several cities in close proximity that provide many cultural experiences. We have two “fur babies” (dogs), Sophie and Lenny. Sophie is the “old lady” at 14 years old, and Lenny is an energetic five-year-old. Both are very loving and great with kids. Nearby, there are parks with playgrounds, trains, museums, waterparks, a zoo, and many other family-oriented activities to take part in with your child. We also live in close proximity to several top-rated schools.
Our Extended Family
We feel very fortunate to have such supportive families. Our parents are thrilled to have grandchildren, and our nieces and nephews are so excited about another cousin!
Derrick is the middle child, with two sisters. Derrick’s mother is a traditional Southern woman who will smother the baby with love and “down home” cooking. Keri is the oldest of three siblings. Her mother and father are still young at heart and still play actively with their grandchildren.
Growing up, both of our families loved to camp frequently, which rubbed off on us. We have a camper and love to be out in the woods exploring nature, relaxing, and enjoying our time together sitting around the campfire. When we are all together, we love being goofy, and there’s always lots of love and laughter.
What Led Us To Adoption
Adoption is something that has been near and dear to both of us for many years. Before we met, we both experienced having to make the decision to place a child for adoption. Through those experiences, coupled with our inability to successfully conceive after many years and failed attempts, God has led us to another beautiful journey of becoming parents and starting our family through the blessing of adoption. We have been planning and dreaming of building our family for some time now and have wholeheartedly decided adoption is meant for us. Our hearts desire nothing more than to provide a loving and nurturing home for a child.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
