dear expectant mother

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. We have been dreaming of growing our family. We feel blessed and greatly honored to be considered as possible parents for your child. It takes a lot of strength and courage to consider this decision.

We want you to know that your baby will grow up surrounded by a large, loving, and supportive family. Both of us grew up with multiple siblings whom we are still close to today! There will be many cousins to run around and play with at every family event. Our loving and outgoing son enjoys playing with other children, and we know he will make a wonderful big brother. We will enjoy watching them grow up together and forming a close bond.

We feel our family has so much to offer, and adding your child to our home would give us the sense of fullness we have been hoping for!

About Us

Dan has been working construction and running heavy equipment for over 10 years. In his spare time, he enjoys attending concerts, movies, and sporting events. He likes repairing cars/trucks and participating in outdoor sports. When he’s not home, his favorite place is the woods of northern Wisconsin. Lisa has been teaching 4th and 5th graders for over 15 years. In her free time, she loves running, hiking, and traveling! She has run races in over 15 states and loves hiking in the national parks. Her favorite place away from home is the Grand Canyon. We met seven years ago and got engaged at the top of Devil’s Bridge in Sedona, AZ. We enjoy working on projects at home, gardening, and playing with our son, Daniel. We often take small trips to hike, watch sporting events, and spend time with our families.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a three-bedroom, tri-level house with a large kitchen for baking and a large family room full of toys. Our wooded lot is great for our large garden. We are often outside in our yard with our son, Daniel, and two dogs, Coco and Rascal. Our patio is great for grilling, and we have a screened-in porch to relax in. Our son loves to splash in his kiddie pool, draw with chalk on the driveway, and make snow angels in the winter. We live within walking distance of our church and often enjoy the activities our small suburb has to offer, like the Memorial Day parade, trick-or-treating on Main Street, the fire department open house, and Christmas tree lighting.

Our Extended Family

We both come from very close families and are quite lucky to have most of our family within an hour of our home. It is nice to have such a strong support system!

Dan has three sisters, and Lisa has two brothers. We have a total of 10 nieces and nephews who are often at our house! Dan’s parents live in northern Wisconsin, and we travel there to see their goats. Lisa’s parents watch our son, so we see her family almost daily. Dan has a large extended family that we see multiple times a year. It is quite loud, crazy, and fun to get so many children and adults together. Lisa has a much smaller extended family with only two aunts, two uncles, and five cousins. She has grown up close to her two adopted cousins, who are just two and four years younger than her.

Halloween and Christmas are big at our house. Each year we go to a local farm to pick pumpkins and cut down our own Christmas tree. Rain or snow, we are out there enjoying the fun of picking out these special items to bring back and decorate at home.

What Led Us To Adoption

We got married in 2014 and had our son in 2015. Since that time, we have loved being parents and want to keep our family growing. After many miscarriages and an unsuccessful IVF attempt, we feel that adoption is a great choice for us. We are both very close with our own siblings and want to give our son the same opportunity. Having both grown up with cousins and close friends that are adopted, we know how special this gift of adoption is to families, and we are excited to have this opportunity!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
