dear expectant mother

We have found there are situations in life when it is really hard to believe God's timing is perfect, but we do strongly believe it is. It has taken so much longer than we ever expected to welcome children into our home, and yet we also realize that those years we have waited and prayed have changed us, the way we see the world, and the way we treasure the precious gift of family.

Time has taught and tested us to try to comprehend the mysterious depths of love that make a truly good parent that puts their child before themselves. This makes us especially thankful for our own parents as well as all those who choose to give life, even when the timing seems anything but perfect. Our promise to you is that we will continually strive to match that same kind of unbounded, self-giving love in our home that you are giving.

We are still learning and hoping, open and expectant that through adoption, we may experience the way love can transform painful circumstances into the joy of a new and extended family, giving a future of hope and promise for all.

About Us

We smile when we remember the first time our eyes met as college freshmen in our English lecture class. It took us until our junior year to begin a promising friendship that turned into a beautiful life together when we married two years later. Our faith is extremely important to us: Damien works as a pastor, and Jolie works part-time with him at our church and has worked teaching in higher education. She looks forward to spending much of her time with our child when we are able to adopt. We have flexible schedules and enjoy doing home projects and especially being outdoors. Damien is very loving and kind, with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, while Jolie is creative and gentle and loves to laugh. With our whole hearts, we are dedicated to each other’s well being and the well being of any children we might be blessed to raise together.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a historic part of our mid-sized town, which is filled with charming homes of all sizes. Our home is a traditional two-story brick colonial with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, located on a quiet dead-end street with neighbors of all ages. In addition to our front yard, we have a side yard with a swing, a great place to kick a soccer ball, and a large wooded area in the back where we regularly see deer drinking in the narrow stream. Jolie especially enjoys walking in the neighborhood, and there are several parks nearby in which to walk, play, or have a picnic. We have a young tabby cat named Lucy, who does a great job of keeping us entertained..

Our Extended Family

We’re fortunate to have a loving and caring family. Although we do not live as close to all of them as we desire, we make it a priority to see everyone as often as possible during any breaks and holidays. We are close to our parents and all of our siblings and their families, and we have four nieces and four nephews.

We live in the same town as Damien’s father, so we spend time with him regularly each week. Sadly, Damien’s mother passed away in 2018. Damien’s brother and his wife have four children with whom we love to play board games and sports, and Jolie has two sisters who, with their husbands, have four children between them, ranging in age from one to 21. Jolie also comes from a large extended family that includes many aunts, uncles, cousins, and their children. Because we already have much loved adopted members in our family, we know bringing another child touched by adoption into it will be greatly celebrated.

One of our favorite traditions is our annual summertime trip to one of the national parks, and in the winter, we enjoy our Christmas Eve candlelight service and sitting around the fire and Christmas tree together savoring the magic and beauty of the season.

What Led Us To Adoption

Like many couples, we always hoped and expected to have little ones and watch them grow up in our home. Over the years, it did not happen in the way we thought, yet that has not caused us to give up; rather, we sought other ways in which we could share our love. The challenge of bringing children into our family has opened our minds and hearts to understanding and experiencing the beauty of adoption and the way it has the potential to enrich many lives beyond our own. We have been further inspired by Jolie’s cousin, who was adopted as a newborn and has adopted four children into her family, which is overflowing with energy and unconditional love!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
