dear expectant mother

We are so thankful you have taken the time to read this letter and look at our profile. We cannot tell you how honored we are that you would consider granting us the privilege of loving, caring for, teaching, and mentoring your gift to this world—this gift that is uniquely yours. We would never presume to understand how you came to consider an adoption plan. The love that you have for your child is truly something to live up to.

We want you to know we will strive to celebrate any cultural traditions you and your child have in order to give them stability about who they are. Our goal in parenthood is to foster individual personality and teach children that their beauty lies within their uniqueness. Our home is judgement-free, where a child can be honest about who they are and know they will be loved and supported unconditionally.

Family time together is the most important thing to us. Currently we are a foster family for dogs and children. We are passionate about supporting our community, so we make and serve meals at the homeless shelter as well as mentor youth in the Air Force and Big Brothers Big Sisters. We love adventure, such as hiking, camping, and traveling! We are so excited to get to know you and your story.

About Us

We are Dan and Claire! Dan is hardworking, supportive, and loyal, and Claire is passionate, courageous, and empathetic. We are a very adventurous family, and we especially love spending our time traveling. We may have gotten our love of travel from being in the military! We believe fostering a passion for travel starts at a young age, which is why we took our daughter on her first international trip to Belgium when she was just eight months old! We love to celebrate life with food and music and really cherish learning about other cultures and traditions. We also really enjoy everything outdoors: hiking, camping, swimming, and boating. We are currently a child and puppy foster family, and we have housed 16 foster puppies within the last year alone! We are so excited to share our adventures with a new family member.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a large home in the best school district in the northern part of our state. We live in a very family-centered neighborhood (with 17 kids on our street), and all of the kids play together daily. Our home is spacious and modern, and we have a large, open backyard that faces a 90-acre farm. We are indirectly located near a lake, and we go on walks every evening to “look for ducks” as our daughter calls it. We have two chickens, Pepper and Sunny, and two dogs, Kai and Rowdy. We believe the home is the most important place in a family, and we prioritize family time in the home during meal times, after dinner (usually card games), and on the weekends.

Our Extended Family

We both come from very large families, and we have 26 nieces and nephews. This makes family reunions at the beach fun for everyone. One thing that brings us all together is great food and music. Some traditions we enjoy are Polish and Irish traditions. We eat perogies on the weekends, and we frequently have corned beef and cabbage. We love the traditional Irish music and Celtic-style decor. We gave our daughter a Gaelic middle name after one of her Irish cousins.

We have a military family we are very close to that are stationed in most of the states and abroad, and we enjoy getting to visit them. When we first got together eight years ago, we had an open-door policy in our home. It started with becoming a mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters, where we had a little sister for six years. Now we are a foster family for children and puppies in our state. We believe being a family for others and supporting and loving them where they are is an essential element of humanity and community.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our adoption journey started back before we were ever married. We started the adoption process in 2013, but it was interrupted when we went through a military deployment. Then we got pregnant with our daughter in 2018—an unexpected surprise! Now with our daughter three years old, we believe it’s the right time to try to grow our family again through adoption. We have always known we were meant to adopt. We have always envisioned our family as being a diverse blend of people from different genetics, skills, and personalities all beautifully blended together into one family full of love and support. Our aim is to nurture diversity, embrace individuality, and highlight how beautiful it is that we are all different.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
