dear expectant mother
This is by far the most difficult part for us to write. What do you even say to someone who is considering such a selfless act of love? We know this is probably one of the hardest decisions you will ever have to make, and it’s only possible through the strength of a mother’s love. We understand the magnitude of this decision and can promise we will remain considerate and supportive of you and your feelings throughout this whole process.
We are so incredibly grateful that you would consider us and will do everything possible to ensure you know your baby has a loving and stable environment that is full of opportunities for their own future—a home where they are encouraged to dream, have fun, and be the person God made them to be. We look forward to making them the center of our world, passing down traditions, and making wonderful memories together.
Lastly, we just want to say thank you. Thank you for the love you are already showing for your baby. Thank you for your bravery and courage during this time. Thank you for possibly changing our lives and giving us the opportunity to be parents and to love your sweet baby.
We were introduced by Rick’s sister and immediately knew there was something special between us. We have been married for almost 14 years. Rick is funny, witty, loved by everyone, and a sports fanatic! Christy is kind and loving, and she tries to be funny. Rick is coming up toward the end of his military career, and we cannot wait to settle down near family. He has loved serving our country, and it has afforded us many opportunities to travel and meet wonderful people. Christy works from home in the finance field and loves numbers. On the weekends, if we are not checking out local festivals and new restaurants in town, we are working on home projects together. After work, we walk through one of the many walking trails in our community or to the local yogurt shop. These are our favorite times and where we talk about our day, our dreams, and our future together.
Our Home & Pets
We currently live in a beautiful community in Virginia. There is always lots to do, and we have beautiful lakes, parks, and trails nearby. We love to decorate and entertain, so we strive to make our home inviting and comfortable for everyone. Our neighbors are quiet, and the community is very family friendly. We enjoy going to the neighborhood pool and live music events that our community sponsors. We share our home with a small dog named Maycee. We often laugh that she is more like a cat than a dog because she just likes to do her own thing. She is sweet, loves road trips, and is obsessed with treats and belly rubs.
Our Extended Family
We both have amazing and supportive families, and family get-togethers are always lots of fun with our 14 nieces and nephews. Every get-together on Christy’s side of the family, includes corn hole, ping pong, board games, and lots of food! Rick is the ping pong champion. Our nieces on Rick’s side can play instruments and sing, and they love to serenade us when we are in town. One of Christy’s favorite things to do with her younger nieces and nephews is to tell them a story she makes up as she goes. She is very animated, and the kids hang on her every word. Rick loves to play video games with his nephews and he often claims that he “lets them win,” but Christy is not convinced.
Rick grew up near Los Angeles. He is the youngest with three sisters. His sisters are now spread out all over the country, but we get to see them often and value our time together. Christy was raised in southern Alabama and loves everything Southern. She has three siblings and is the second. The first three are all close to the same age; then she has a younger brother who came ten years later.
What Led Us To Adoption
After lots of prayer, we knew it was time to start our adoption journey as soon as Rick returned from his deployment. We knew it would be his last deployment and that he was home to stay for good. Even before we knew the pain of infertility and loss, Christy knew at a young age her future would include adoption. This desire is what got us through the difficult times. We have so much love to give, and we cannot wait to share our home and all the joy that comes with it.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
