dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking this time to get to know us and to consider us in your journey toward adoption. Even considering us as potential parents to raise your child is an amazing blessing. Making this decision must be very difficult for you. Please realize you are stronger and braver than you will ever know. We want you to know we appreciate you so much. We are honored you have considered us, whether you choose us or not.

We want you to know we will raise your child in a loving and fun-filled home with lots of family and friends as support. We want to instill strong beliefs and faith as they grow into the person God intends them to be. We want to give them every opportunity to become whatever they want to be in life, with all the love in the world.

We will never let them forget the selfless decision their birth mother made for them. We want them to know how they were adopted out of love from both sides and that they were wanted by all.

If you choose us, we hope we can implement our traditions with some of yours when raising your child. Then when he or she is an adult, they will carry a little bit of all of us with them.

About Us

We crossed paths for years without formally knowing each other, always giving a smile and making light conversation. Then one day we were both invited out by mutual friends. Immediately we recognized each other and connected, and we’ve never looked back. Even that night out, Chris said, “That’s my future wife.” We both worked in public service at the time, so we had a lot in common and a great understanding of one another. We are more than just friends; we are partners in every aspect of our lives as well. Theresa works as a family nurse practitioner, caring for all ages. Chris is a retired government employee, who has gone back to school for his Master in Aviation Management degree. Our schedules are very flexible, which allows us to spend time with each other and family.

Our Home & Pets

We have a five-bedroom ranch home on a little over an acre of land in a small town in Illinois. We have three amazing dogs that love to play with everyone they meet. Our home backs up to a horse farm, so we can sit in the back yard and watch the horses run. We have lots of room to run and play. We have a garden with fresh fruits and vegetables that we plant and love to eat. We love going on walks through the neighborhood or just sitting on the front porch relaxing.

Our Extended Family

Chris moved to Illinois in grade school with his parents and two of his siblings. He has remained here ever since. Theresa was born in Illinois, and although she moved away as a child, she came back to Illinois in high school.

We have a very large family that lives throughout the country. We love to travel and visit with everyone as much as we can. Chris has two sisters who are quite close, and we visit often. We have a family reunion each year, which is one of our favorite traditions. Moms, dads, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins all come together once a year.

Some of our traditions at home include a big Christmas at our house. We like to host Christmas and have everyone come to us. Our family stays with us, and we play games and laugh a lot. We also have an annual Halloween party. Friends and family wear their costumes and come over for tricks and treats at our house. These are the traditions we want to share with our future child.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption has always been a dream of ours. Theresa’s mother was adopted, and it has been a lifelong dream of Theresa’s to adopt as well. Since we were first married, we knew we wanted to expand our family with children. Whether naturally or through adoption, we want to raise a big family together. After miscarriages, surgeries, and years of trying, we felt God was pulling us toward our true path. Sharing our love and home with a child would complete us as a family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
