Dear Birthmom

How could we ever begin to thank you for the greatest gift someone could give? What you’re doing is the single most selfless and courageous thing any human could do. To love a child so unconditionally that you make the decision you’re considering is nothing short of a miracle, and YOU are nothing short of divine. We can’t begin to know what you’re going through, but if you choose us, we promise to give you all the love and support that’s in our power to give. And not just today, but every step of the way.

We would love, cherish, and honor your baby, and would do everything in our power to honor you and your legacy throughout their life. Words could never express the gift you’re considering giving, and the gift that YOU are. We would love you as our family and we would support your decision now and always.

About Us

Hi, we’re Megan and Chris! We’ve been married since December 2015, after our friends set us up on a blind date in 2012. Beyond being husband and wife, we are the best of friends — the strongest foundation for a long-lasting love. Craving an adventure after our wedding, we moved to a major city in Illinois in May of 2016. Chris is an interactive designer for a major bank and Megan is an executive at a PR agency.

As a couple, we complement each other perfectly. Megan is outgoing and curious, while Chris is supportive and steadfast. We share a love of food, adventure, travel (we’ve been all over the globe!), the outdoors, biking, and the arts. Chris is passionate about and an expert in home improvement, restoring motorcycles, sports, and brewing the ultimate cup of coffee. When Megan is not at her dream job, she’s flying through books, planning our next international adventure, and exploring this city that she loves so much.

Our Home & Pets

We are fortunate to own a condo in a neighborhood nicknamed “Stroller City” because there are so many babies and kids here! We are close to beautiful parks, great schools, and lots of fun activities for children, including dance and art studios, baseball diamonds, pools, and more. We’re a short walk away from a main street with lots of restaurants, toy stores, bookstores, and coffee shops.

Our Cavachon dog, Albert, is the happiest, most loving dog you will ever meet. He LOVES babies because they’re his size! Our cat, Izzy, is unbelievably loving and social for a cat. They both love to be around us, and (surprisingly) each other. They’re excited to welcome another little one into the home!

Our Extended Family

There’s nothing more indicative of our definition of family than the group photo from our wedding. While not all related to us by blood, we consider every person in it our family. So this would be your baby’s tribe. Your baby would be surrounded by a level of love and support that is hard to express in words, but hopefully, that photo is some indication.

We are both extremely close to our families. Megan considers her parents her best friends and loves spending time with her older twin brothers (who were adopted!) and seven nieces and nephews who are starting to have kids of their own. Chris has a strong bond with his younger sister, who just gave birth to her first child, as well as his mom, step-dad, dad, and stepmom. They all get along wonderfully, which makes holidays easier! Chris is also surrounded by a strong network of aunts, uncles, and cousins who all have young kids of their own and are only a short drive away.

What Led Us To Adoption

Because we got married a bit later in life, we knew that having a baby naturally might prove challenging. After our doctor broke the news about our infertility, we were momentarily broken-hearted until we realized, in our heart, that adoption was the way we wanted to build our family. Plus, adoption is in our blood, and we understand firsthand the joy it can bring. Megan’s brothers were both adopted, two of her seven nieces and nephews were as well, and her mom spent a lifetime as a child services caseworker who counseled adoptive parents. We’ve always felt drawn to this beautiful way of building our family, and we can’t wait!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
