Dear Birthmom

Words cannot fully express the emotions we feel for you, your baby, your future, our future. Who would have ever thought something so exciting could be so scary, something so happy yet sometimes sad? We have fear and courage, nervousness and peace. We have an abundance of love and joy to share, and so do you! That’s why we want to make the journey with you.

Just as you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of your child, so are we. We feel like artists waiting to see what kind of canvas we are lucky enough to unroll and are ready to begin painting your baby’s bright and wonderful future. It’s undoubtedly going to be the project of a lifetime for everyone involved! Your courage will provide a brand new destiny for your beautiful baby, for our loving family, and we are so honored that we get to be part of what you are.

You have made this decision not because it’s the “easy thing” to do; in fact, it’s the extreme opposite. We appreciate the fact you’ve been making the toughest of decisions anyone could make, and for quite some time we’re sure. We will do everything we can to ensure your baby grows up knowing the sacrifices you’ve made. We are so very eager to be a part of this process and to grow as a family, as individuals, and share with each other the gift of life, love, and prosperity. You are one of a kind and for that we truly admire you!

About Us

Simply stated, we are a couple who loves the outdoors. Being married for almost 13 years, we do many activities together during all four seasons in Central Wisconsin, from cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and boating, to camping, hiking, running, and biking. Chris is an avid mountain biker, but when the trails are too muddy to ride he settles for road cycling. Krista would run 20 miles a day if her joints, muscles, and tendons would let her. When she’s not training for marathons, she also has to “settle” for road cycling. With the area recreational trail system only a tenth of a mile from our house, there’s no excuse not to get out and enjoy all the seasons! We like to attend local sporting activities, family events, and even a few professional sporting venues from time to time.

Chris works for an insurance company as a Business Analyst, while Krista works for an environmental consulting firm as an Environmental Scientist. Both careers keep us on our toes; provide new challenges frequently, yet both offer flexible schedules, which we appreciate greatly. On a day off work, you might find Chris brewing craft beer in the garage with a few family friends, or Krista cooking up a seven-course meal to feed everyone! We both love to experiment with new recipes, try new restaurants, or just grill out on our deck with family and friends.

Our Home & Pets

We love to work around our home and yard, with Krista patiently awaiting the first nice day of spring to plant her abundant flower beds, flower pots, and vegetable garden; and Chris itching to get the boat running and the garage cleaned and organized. For the past eight years we’ve lived in our two-story house, built especially to our liking by Krista’s dad, a now retired general contractor! We’ve added to and redesigned our yard and landscaping more with each summer. We love adding color and life to our yard each year. We adore the fact we are surrounded by wooded properties, so even though we technically live in a subdivision there are no sidewalks and nature is literally out our front and back door.

Our Extended Family

Chris’ family consists of his parents and two younger brothers, as well as one living grandfather and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Krista’s family is comprised of her parents, one sister-in-law, two nephews, one niece, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Our family is a very big part of our lives and we see them often, especially on weekends, holidays, or random days they just stop in! We spend a lot of time going for family boat rides or having family campfires in the summer, watching movies together, or playing board games.

What Led Us To Adoption

We’ve always dreamed of adopting for a few different reasons. First and foremost, Krista was adopted as a newborn. She has had an extremely positive adoption experience from birth through today. She realizes adoption is not easy, average, or to be taken lightly. It’s a gift. It’s a gift for everyone involved: the child, birthmother, adoptive parents, adoptive grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and so on right down to the couple’s community as a whole. Krista has always wanted to pass on that gift to another birthmother and child, in an effort to keep the positive experience moving. There’s no doubt that who Krista is today is the result of her adoption and everyone involved. We have one beautiful daughter, yet something is still absent from our family. Our daughter is longing for a sibling. We are longing for another child, another gift.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
