dear expectant mother
As we begin this journey, we are praying for you and for your baby. We know that this is a hard decision to make, and we want to be as supportive as possible during this process. We have been looking forward to having children in our home for the last few years, and we are so excited you are considering us to potentially adopt your child.
Not only are we looking forward to welcoming a baby but we have a niece, three nephews, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who are looking forward to spoiling a little bundle of joy! Chris’s adopted brother, who is now 13, can’t wait to be an uncle and is especially excited that we are adopting. We are excited for your child to become a part of our family.
As we enter this journey with you, we pray that you find peace in knowing that your child will be raised in a loving Christian home. We both love children and can’t wait to raise a child. We would love to meet you before your child is born so that we can get to know each other. Our prayers are with you and your child during this time.
We are Chris and Cheryl! We met five years ago when our paths crossed at an airport flying club where we both learned to fly and earned our pilot licenses. We immediately hit it off and got married a year later. Chris is employed as a corporate pilot, and Cheryl is an engineer. We were both raised on a farm out in the country and are hardworking, active, and dedicated to our extended families. Together we like spending time outdoors, grilling out, flying airplanes, and traveling the world. Before we met, Chris visited 12 countries in North America, the Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Cheryl has visited five countries in North America, Africa, and Australia. So far, we have visited Jamaica, Italy, Spain, and Belize together and cannot wait to visit many more parts of the world as our family grows.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a four-bedroom, two-story home on 1.5 acres located in a quiet neighborhood in the country near a small town in Missouri. We have a community pond in our back yard where our niece and nephews love to canoe and fish. Our neighborhood also has direct access to a walking/biking trail through the woods that we often use. We have several neighbors who have young children as well. We are looking forward to teaching your child how to play catch, ride bikes, enjoy nature, play golf, and swim.
Our Extended Family
We live close to Cheryl’s parents and brothers and see them weekly. Cheryl has two brothers who are both married, and she has one niece and three nephews. Chris’s parents, sister, and brother live about six hours away, and we see them several times a year. We talk on the phone and text weekly. We are very close to all of our family!
Thanksgiving has always been a big tradition in Cheryl’s family. We have a pie-making contest with t-shirts and just love spending time together playing games and visiting with all of our family. While Chris’s family traditions are not quite as elaborate as Cheryl’s family, we love to spend time together over the holidays playing games and eating great food. We can’t wait for your child to be part of this tradition!
Chris’s brother (who was also adopted) is very excited that we are adopting. All three future aunts, both sets of grandparents, one great-grandma, and many cousins are looking forward to spoiling your child!
What Led Us To Adoption
We had talked about the possibility of adoption even before we were married and became serious about adoption after a few years of struggling to conceive. Adoption is not new to us and our families. Chris has a 13-year-old brother who was adopted, and Cheryl has a cousin who adopted a daughter who is now 15 years old. Cheryl’s brother also adopted his stepson last year. We both have close friends who have adopted. We believe that family is about a loving relationship with each other. Chris has a very special bond with his younger brother, and we look forward to creating that bond with any child we are privileged to adopt.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
