dear expectant mother
This is one of the most difficult letters we’ve ever written, and we write with a mixture of amazement, excitement, and gratitude. Our amazement is at the weight of your consideration, not just for us, but for your child; it seems it would be nearly overwhelming to consider if someone else would be a good mother and father for your precious one. Our excitement is for the opportunity to have a child in our lives; there are no words worthy of explaining what family means to us, and to get to have an opportunity to grow our family and add more richness to our lives would be the greatest gift. Finally, our gratitude is to depths previously unknown; people throw around words and sentiments like “thank you” and “I love you,” but, in this situation, there are no others we can find to express ourselves.
Images of baking and listening to a story being read aloud to this little one dance in our minds. Toys all over the living room floor, a bicycle left in the driveway, shoes and a bookbag dropped by the front door. We cannot wait to have these pictures as part of our daily lives.
So, thank you. Thank you for considering us for creating a home and family for your child.
We are a military family, which gives us a few unique demands on our time and roles, but overall we’re not that different from everyone else. We love each other, and we support each other in whatever path and whichever direction life’s journey takes us. We are probably as different as two people can be: Jerry’s a city boy, and Cheryl’s a country girl. Jerry’s from a small family, Cheryl’s from a large one. Jerry’s an A-type personality...and well, we suppose that’s one way we’re similar! Maybe that’s why we’re so good together. At the end of the day, we’re strong. No matter how stubborn we think each other are, we are an amazing team.
Our Home & Pets
Our home is on an acre and a half in a suburb of Atlanta. When you're sitting on the big front porch or the nice back deck it feels like you're in the middle of the woods. In reality we're only 6 miles from Walmart, grocery stores, the library and anything else we could need. Being so close to Atlanta we can be at a show, sporting event, concert or festival in no time.l We have two dogs: Deacon and Jack; so your child will get to have a friend from the beginning. We have already started a library of books, music, and toys to play and grow with, as we both believe in lifelong learning. We have both been fortunate enough to help people grow in their own way by presenting knowledge, and then guiding when needed. There is something magical about that moment when someone’s light bulb illuminates or their path becomes clear. Getting to see the world through the eyes of a child is its very own special magic.
Our Extended Family
We’re so excited to share our mix of traditions, especially Christmas and Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is all about bringing everyone together and sharing memories, playing games, and truly visiting and talking about the year that’s passed. Christmas, for us, is family time when we get to express to each other the love and care we have for one another. In our family, it isn’t about the cost of a gift, it’s about knowing the person to whom the gift was given and touching their heart; the important part is letting the receiver know you understand their interests and their personality.
Cheryl’s brothers and sisters (there are five of them!) do a gift exchange every year, usually with a $5 or $10 limit. One year, Cheryl made a calendar of all the obscure holidays for her sister, Anne, so Anne would have a holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
Holidays and traditions are all about memories and love: that’s what we look forward to sharing with your child.
What Led Us To Adoption
Cheryl has a huge family, and one of her cousins was adopted as an infant. Cheryl’s family is a bit of a mix between biological, marriage, and used-to-be-married connections. We care about the bond more than the blood. Adoption is something we have talked about since the beginning of our relationship, because conceiving a biological child and raising him or her from their first breaths is the only thing we cannot do on our own. But, with your help, we can.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
