dear expectant mother
We are blessed and thankful to be a part of this opportunity. Adoption can bring uncertainty, but through this journey, we are committed to give you reassurance and be with you every step of the way. Faith, security, honesty, and empathy are some of our family values. These values determine how we live our everyday lives. Your child will be raised with these values and given the opportunity to enjoy life to the fullest. He or she will always be surrounded by the utmost support from two caring siblings, compassionate animals, and loving extended family members.
Over the years, we have enjoyed building family traditions that the kids can count on. These include cheeseburger Thursdays for the dogs, Sunday breakfast, Christmas tree choosing, and movie nights every weekend. We can’t wait to share these with your child.
No matter what level of openness you choose for your adoption plan, we hope you find comfort that each night your child will feel unconditional love and a sense of belonging in our family. More importantly, you will be honored in our family as you make important decisions for your future child.
We met in 2015 through common friends. At that time, Luke was residing in Florida, working as a project engineer. Carissa was living in Illinois with her two kids and working as a hospice nurse. Carissa traveled to Florida to visit Luke, and the rest was history. For two years, we spent our weekends and holidays traveling to see each other. He eventually decided to make his final move to Illinois. We moved in together in 2018 with our two kids and three dogs. Within a year, we bought the house we were renting and added more animals to our family. Luke enjoys working in the construction industry and has a passion for building things. Carissa has been a nurse for ten years and has found great joy in caring for patients with terminal illnesses.
Our Home & Pets
Our family resides in a rural town in Illinois. Our house was built as a country school house in the early 20th century. Over the years, the house was renovated and expanded into a comfortable brick, two-story home nestled between corn and soybean fields. The kids enjoy the swingset and pool in the summer. At night, the stars are numerous, and oftentimes we sit out and enjoy meteor showers, full moons, and bonfires. The animals enjoy the acre and a half to graze and run freely within the limits of a full fence. Being in a small town, there are many community gatherings, including Labor Day celebrations, pumpkin and corn festivals, and lively Fourth of July fireworks.
Our Extended Family
Carissa’s family is spread out in different states and even internationally. Carissa was born in the Philippines, and most of her dad’s side emigrated to America. Her mom’s side still lives in the Philippines, and we try to visit them every two to three years. Since Carissa’s dad’s side is not able to gather often, they like to plan reunions. For their most recent reunion, they traveled to Florida with 40+ adults and children. Carissa’s parents and brother live nearby and enjoy meeting for dinner to try out new restaurants.
We live minutes away from Luke’s extended family. Luke is the youngest of three, and his parents have been married 40+ years. His grandma enjoys having the grandchildren over for afternoon tea. With us living near each other, it is not uncommon to pass by each other’s houses and see other family members hanging out in their front yards. We even have Sunday suppers, which is a cherished tradition in the family.
What Led Us To Adoption
We have always talked about adoption as a way to grow our family. Luke grew up in a nurturing home with loving parents and quickly grew to love Carissa’s children as his own. There were many days and nights when we reflected as a couple on when we would be ready to adopt. After several years of building a strong relationship together and becoming a family, we knew it was the right time to make that step together. We were supported by our decision by a special friend of ours who also adopted her children through Angel Adoption. Through her testimony and the special bond she shares with her children and their birth parents, we are confident we are on the right path.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
