dear expectant mother

Dear Mom to Be,

If you are reading this, then you have found us, and we are grateful our profile has made its way to you. We hope you and your baby are doing well. Thank you for investing your time and energy to learn about who we are. Our long journey to finding you was challenging and at times painful, but perhaps there is a reason our paths have crossed.

We can’t begin to imagine the difficulty you are faced with right now. There are so many families that yearn to adopt, and choosing the right one for you and your baby must be very challenging. We sincerely hope your journey ends with nothing but success and you find hope and peace in the choice you’ve made.

Hopefully you’ve enjoyed learning a little about us! If we can leave you with a few last words regarding who we are, it would be this:

Nothing is so terrible that it can’t be helped with laughter.
Nothing is so challenging that it can’t be cured with hard work.
You are the luckiest alive if you have a family that cares for and loves you.

We sincerely hope and pray your journey ends with the right fit for you and your baby.

With care, respect, and gratitude,
Tom and Calin

About Us

We live, work, and play in Wisconsin! During the week, we both work from our home offices. Calin is an office professional helping financial institutions across the country. Tom is a sales executive working with companies globally. The most important thing in our lives is laughter; we can get through anything if we can keep each other laughing. When Calin isn’t hard at work, she enjoys puzzles, dog playtime, movies, and gardening. When Tom is done for the day, he enjoys guitar, running, and cooking. We both look forward to the weekend as that is quality time we can spend together. We both enjoy bowling, going to movies, concerts, reading together, and spending time up north at the lake.

Our Home & Pets

Our neighborhood is full of young families, and those without families typically have dogs, which we adore. We are surrounded by parks, schools, and a beautiful lakefront that is never short on activities. The diversity of our neighborhood is what keeps us here: old and young and culturally rich with neighbors from many different backgrounds. We both love dogs! Our first date was walking our dogs together. We have a dog named Oscar; he is a boxer dog, and he loves his people, his people’s friends and family, and children! Tom has had Oscar since he was a puppy, and Oscar is his best friend. Calin had a wonderful dog named Woodsen, who sadly passed away a few years ago. Someday we will have two dogs again.

Our Extended Family

Our families are both primarily based in Wisconsin. We love spending time with all of our extended family. Calin’s family enjoys camping. They also have a wonderful Christmas Eve where everyone gets together to share gifts, food, and laughter. Tom’s family spends a lot of time in northern Wisconsin and camping. They enjoy fishing, boating, playing cards, and laughing! Holidays up north are a wonderful thing with sledding, snow shoeing, ice fishing, and making snowmen.

Calin has one sister and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. She is blessed to have a grandpa, step-grandma, and grandma with us still. Tom has one brother who is married to a wonderful woman. They have two beautiful children who are the light of our lives. Tom is blessed to have one grandpa and one grandma with us still. He has many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our journey to adoption started six years ago. We both agreed before marrying that if we couldn’t conceive naturally, we would adopt. It was a decision reinforced by our upbringing and diverse families. Tom’s sister-in-law was adopted and grew up with an amazing, loving family that supports her. Tom also grew up with a loving stepfather and his father’s long-term partner, Michelle. At her core, Calin is a strong, loving, and nurturing protector who always knew adoption would be a possibility. We both feel there is a reason our journey to having a family has taken us here and are excited to start this journey now! We are a little older, wiser, and secure in terms of our careers.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
