dear expectant mother

Thank you for dropping by to read our bio! We’re a bit emotional while writing this as we think about what must be going on in your head as you read this. We really want to thank you for being such an amazing light and for sharing life with the world. Whether we’re the best fit for you or you find someone else, we’re thankful you’re considering us. We admire how selfless you are as well as your open heart. Even though we don’t know you yet, we have a deep respect and gratitude for you.

We are so excited to share our love and lives with a new addition! We look forward to lots of outdoor walks, family dinners, and playtime (Jon is looking forward to playing with the cool toys as much as our future child). We understand that this will not always be easy. There will be sleepless nights, scary times, future bedtime routines of teeth brushing drama and a cute face saying, “I don’t wanna go to bed”.... We look forward to it all with excitement.

We hope to share all these wonderful things we’ve shared with you and have many great adventures with our growing family. Just know that if you are reading this, you are special, you are in our thoughts, and we hope to talk with you soon.

About Us

We have many mutual hobbies but also enjoy our own adventures. Nature is where we tend to converge by spending a lot of time taking long walks with our three dogs or exploring the surrounding lakes in our kayak. Jon enjoys playing video games, reading, and solving analytical problems when he’s not working as an IT manager. Brittney delves into artistic projects when she’s not stepping into her studio to teach yoga. We bring well-rounded activities and ways of thinking into each other’s lives, and with our more flexible schedules, we will have the ability to give a child our undivided attention and care. We hope to share all these wonderful things and have many great adventures.

Our Home & Pets

We live in a lovely two-level home in a very safe neighborhood. We are surrounded in our neighborhood by teachers of all grades and community officers ready to help at a moment’s notice. We have the perfect blend of city and country living. Where we live is quaint, small, and full of fun family activities, such as live music, painting classes, dance, and much more. When we are home, we are surrounded by the love of three dogs and one older cat. They love all people and are a gentle, loving, furry family.

Our Extended Family

One word that describes our family is loving. It’s the real kind of love, where you care for each person for not only their goodness but for their flaws. We are so full of family members, with grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, and lots of cousins. We have a mother, sister, and nephew who live close by and a very large family living in Michigan. We make it a point to visit Michigan during the holidays, and they visit us during the year, so there are always family gatherings to share.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our road to adoption has been a journey spanning over ten years. We cannot have biological children due to a genetic disorder but have always been so excited about adopting some day. Adoption is very near and dear to Jon due to his mother and uncle being adopted as well as his two cousins with whom he is very close. Ever since we met, we knew we would be adopting, and we have spent the last ten or more years planning for this moment. We are so excited to share our love with a new member of the family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
