dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We do not take the opportunity to adopt lightly. We have thought long and hard about this throughout our time together and truly believe we were brought together for this adoption journey. We’ve experienced extreme highs and the lowest of lows in our own emotional journey to adoption. We admire your choice to consider an adoption plan out of care for your baby and will recognize your selflessness and courage throughout your baby’s life should you choose us.

We are so excited and ready to provide your child with a safe and stable home to build an amazing future in. We believe we can accomplish this by being open about the decision you are making and offering unconditional love and support. Should you bless us with this gift, we will raise your baby to be a thoughtful, adventurous, creative, and kind individual through constant encouragement and lots of love. We will build up their self-esteem and confidence and support their dreams. We will have some good laughs, tears, and tender moments along the way.

Laughter and love are the hallmarks of our family, and we are so excited to expand it with a baby. We hope you will be a part of the continued journey with us, if you wish to be.

About Us

Elijah is an employment law attorney representing victims of discrimination against their employers. Brittany is an athletic compliance officer overseeing student-athlete eligibility to compete as well as leadership programs. In our free time, we love to play board games and have an entire bookshelf dedicated to them! We also enjoy skiing and were fully committed to the hobby when we received new skis as a wedding present. Elijah enjoys creating music and reading, while Brittany loves anything sports related and crafting. Elijah is a witty introvert, and Brittany is a friendly extrovert. A typical day starts with us waking up, greeting our dogs, and taking them on a nice walk around the neighborhood. We often see other neighbors out with their dogs and have an impromptu playtime. After work, we take the dogs for another walk or playtime at the park and then spend quality time together with a family dinner.

Our Home & Pets

We have two beautiful female golden retrievers, Adora and Naga, named after characters in our favorite shows. They are playful and friendly, and they absolutely love all animals and humans of all ages! We have a lovely yard to play in and started our vegetable garden last year. Our neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with a city park across the street where many activities like tee ball and other sports take place and with a lake at the other end. We have developed a close knit neighborhood community, spending most Sundays playing board games or watching a new show together. Our neighborhood is filled with little ones always playing outside. We live in Massachusetts, a lovely place with all four seasons.

Our Extended Family

Both of us are from big families. Elijah’s immediate family is large (seven kids), and Brittany has two older brothers. Brittany’s extended family is large with seven aunts and uncles and ten cousins. Elijah is extremely close to his cousin—so much so that Brittany feels like she is practically another one of his siblings! Our siblings have recently expanded their families, and we are now the proud aunt and uncle to two nieces and one nephew.

The majority of our family members live nearby, which means we always have lots of options for holidays. Brittany’s aunt hosts a huge Fourth of July party every year. We spend Thanksgiving and Christmas with our extended families, sharing in cookie making, swapping sibling presents, and watching movies together. Elijah and his brothers always get together for a special News Year’s Eve tradition.

What Led Us To Adoption

Creating a loving family has always been a dream of ours. While we are unable to have children naturally, we have always thought about adoption and even discussed it on our second date! Elijah has three adopted younger siblings and has a lot of experience with adoption after growing up with them. Ever since they met, Brittany is very close to Elijah’s siblings, and they have a cherished bond between them. We also have numerous family friends with adopted children. We are excited to welcome a new addition to our family.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
