Not a day will go by that we will not think of you and the amazing gift you are. We’re not sure about you and the emotional rollercoaster this journey has lead you on but for us, it has been a mix of good days and bad. It’s taken us several drafts over several days to write this part. Our hearts are filled with so much it can be hard to express. We’ve never felt like we got a say in our next steps to becoming parents. There have always been roadblocks and closed doors. We don’t want this for you. We want open doors, with loving embraces to give you peace and to know this precious life you are carrying will be loved beyond measure, and so will you.
We truly want the best for you. You are part of this equation too. We want to live up to your expectations. We want to know your life has been made better by us being in it. Without you, none of this would be possible.
We have dreamt of raising a child to go further than we ever could have imagined, to live a better life, to change the world for all. We want to support a child in their decisions and provide guidance through the difficult times. Through these experiences, they will grow to know what they are capable of and their purpose in the world.
Blane's sense of humor and ability to laugh at himself is what made Jackie fall in love with him, even before they met in person. Now after several years of marriage, we still make each other laugh and say I love you every day. We both have a passion for sports although not the same teams which make game days fun and exciting around our house. Blane is more introverted and likes being at home and inviting people over for game night whereas Jackie loves getting out of the house, meeting new people and attending concerts. It’s a good balance. We both enjoy playing games whether its cards, board games or video games and host game nights with friends and family.
Blane works for a chemical company providing pest control education on best practices for keeping industrial kitchens clean and safe. Jackie spends her days working at a Health System to educate employees related to their professional growth and development. Though Jackie was born in Kentucky and we go back to visit as often as possible, living in Minnesota has its perks as we love the snow and snowmobiling. We enjoy cooking together and always find new recipes through cooking shows we watch. We belong to a great church that we attend weekly, are part of small groups and volunteer for many events.
Our Home & Pets
We live in a growing, family-friendly neighborhood. Three of our neighbors just had babies within the last year! Our home has four bedrooms, three upstairs and one in the basement which is used as an office/craft room. The main level has a living room, dining room and kitchen with a sliding door that leads onto the deck and large fenced in backyard with room for a swing set. The basement has a laundry room and our game room with a comfortable seating for a group, several gaming systems, thousands of movies and room for a play area.
Our house is also home to three cats, Munchkin/Munch (12), Maximus Craig/Max (3) and Charlotte Caye/CC (2). Our cats are very comfortable around children and look forward to visits from their small friends! With a fenced in yard, they are let out, with supervision, where they can spend hours lounging in the sun.
Our Extended Family
Jackie’s immediate family is very close and lives locally. Her mom and dad have been married 36 years, are both twins and after Jackie was born also had twin girls. One of her sisters has a culinary degree, works on a farm and loves to teach everyone how to cook. Her other sister works within the same Health System Jackie does, so they see each other often. Holidays and birthdays are celebrated in a big way where there is usually an all-day event planned. Her extended family lives in Kentucky and they are a huge support system for us. We go back at least once a year, to visit, play games and soak in the love.
Blane is an only child whose parents live in Iowa. While they don’t live as close, they are extremely supportive making it seem like they are right down the road. We spend holidays together and have annual snowmobile trips with them. They have been married for 43 years, are both happily retired and hope to move closer soon.
What Led Us To Adoption
Our 14-year struggle with infertility has tested us, physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. We know, in our hearts, we were meant to be parents. Adoption has always been an option that we have considered and we are so very excited to be pursuing it now. We have friends who are adopted, have adopted and are birth mothers/fathers and the stories they have shared always made our hearts grow with love. It’s such an amazing story to hear and witness.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
