Thank you. Thank you for your love of your child, thank you for your love of yourself, and for knowing what you can and cannot do. Thank you for understanding the different kinds of love that exist in the universe and that you are able to know that different situations occur in life that may not be planned or expected. We believe with our whole hearts that being open to unconventional ways to love is what life is all about. There is nothing we can say or do to assure you of anything other than we will love and cherish you and your child for as long as we live. ‘Thank you’ does not do justice to the feelings we have toward you.
Ben and I met while experiencing our passion: teaching. I knew we were going to love each other forever when we spent a day together laughing, riding bikes, and eating at a Thai restaurant.
Our Home & Pets
We love our home in Illinois and the culture and diversity it provides. We chose to live in our neighborhood because it is a place where many families have adopted, and many community events are designed for children who have been adopted. Our daughter Maria’s favorite events are youth runs and block parties. Our suburb, which borders Chicago, is a very safe area. We are a half a block away from a large park that has a wonderful outdoor pool that Maria loves, as well as a conservatory that houses many plants and even a few parakeets. We are also within driving distance from a large zoo. Maria has one pet, a guinea pig named Leo, who she loves to share with everyone who visits us.
Our Extended Family
We are very close with our families. Jeanette is from Chicago and her parents and sister still live in the city, which is close to our home. We see them nearly every weekend, and Maria loves taking care of her cousins. Ben is just as close with his family, who live near Minneapolis. His parents have a beautiful log cabin in the woods outside of the city. We spend many mornings hiking near lakes and rivers and nights playing board games. His older brother and sister-in-law, who live on a farm, have two adopted children from Vietnam, while his younger brother and sister-in-law have two daughters together. We visit them at least four times a year and it's fun to have all the children spend time together on the farm with all of the baby animals.
Our Adoption Story
Maria, our daughter, was adopted from Guatemala when she was an infant. We love being parents and want to share our lives, love, and passion with another child. Maria can’t wait to have a sibling and will make an awesome big sister. We are very active within our community and want to continue to share that with another human life..

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
