dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
It’s an odd way to start a letter, but since we don’t know your name, we’ll have to begin like this! You have seen a little glimmer into our lives and the love we have for each other, our pets, and our families. We’re hoping to extend that love to you and your baby and welcome them into our family with open and loving arms.
This can be a difficult and emotional process. We have seen this firsthand as Kyle has three adopted siblings. Our child will know they are adopted, the difficult decision their mother made, and how much love she has for them. Education is a big part of our lives, so we want to ensure they will learn about respect, love, and hard work while also keeping life fun, exciting, and simple. We will support any endeavor our child has throughout their life. Our thoughts and positive vibes are with you as you make the best decision for your family. This is a process we will navigate together, and we will be with you every step of the way.
Thank you so much for taking a moment to glimpse into our lives. We hope to be able to start this journey with you.
Love,
Andrew & Kyle
About Us
We are both middle school teachers. Kyle teaches seventh grade math, and Andrew teaches seventh grade science. We both enjoy taking our dogs for walks, playing games with our extended families, tackling home projects, and doing a variety of activities outdoors. Kyle is outgoing, is caring, and can make anyone laugh. He likes to keep busy with projects either around the house or for his classroom. (He is always building something!) When he was young, he enjoyed playing sports during each season of the school year and now enjoys going to the sporting events for his students. Andrew is kind, empathetic, and an introvert. He always thinks of others and loves to engage in meaningful conversation with those close to him. From a young age, Andrew has always been interested in music and animals. Currently, he loves to collect records and is passionate about all things related to the ocean.
Our Home & Pets
We live in Washington State, where we are thankful to experience all four seasons, with activities to do within each season. During the winter, we like to go ice skating or snowshoeing. During the summer months, when we’re both fortunate to have the time off, we like to go hiking and take our dogs out with us. Our town has an amazing community, where most people know each other. Our town has grown over the years and expanded in many ways. We have a weekly farmers market, where you are guaranteed to run into someone who knows you or your family.
Our Extended Family
We are extremely close with both sides of our family, and both of our parents still live in the same town as we do. Andrew has two sisters and one brother, while Kyle has three sisters and one brother. Andrew has more than 30 cousins, some who live close by and others who live across the country. Kyle has 10 cousins; only a couple live in Washington, and the rest live across the country. We enjoy going over to Andrew’s parents’ house and playing board games, grilling food on the BBQ, and letting our dogs play with each other. We also enjoy going out to dinner with Kyle’s parents and going out to their house to see their two horses.
A family tradition we enjoy is going to the Oregon coast with Andrew’s side of the family for a family reunion. We go to the local beaches, kayaking, glass blowing, and family game nights.
Another family tradition we enjoy is going to the Teddy Bears Picnic that Kyle’s mom hosts annually in June. This picnic has grown over the years from a few nephews and our one niece to several friends and family members. We BBQ, play yard games, and rent bouncy houses with water slides.
What Led Us To Adoption
We are excited to start our adoption journey. Adoption has always been something that has interested us, and we look forward to adding a new member to our family. We are most excited to be able to raise a child in a loving environment in which we will love them unconditionally and support them throughout their lives. We came to the decision to adopt through conversations with our loved ones. We have numerous friends and family members who have either adopted children or been adopted, and we would love nothing more than to be a part of this great process.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
