dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mama,

We can only imagine how hard it is to choose the right family to raise and care for your baby. At this point, you’ve probably read through countless family profiles and seen hundreds of pictures of complete strangers, wondering if this is the right family.

As parents of five incredible children, we understand the responsibility and weight of this decision for both you and us. Although we have not met in person yet, we’re so grateful you took the time to learn about our family. We feel every child is such a gift, and our family is a perfect reminder that love has no limits! If you choose us, your baby will grow up surrounded by the support of five caring siblings, a loving family, and many friends. We welcome any relationship you wish to have with us and your child. Thank you so much for reading our profile. It means the world to us!

Stephen and Amy

P.S. You’re stronger than you know, and your baby is so fortunate to have you as their mama.

About Us

We have been together for 21 years! We both catered a Christmas party one evening, and Stephen asked Amy if she wanted a ride home. We ended up talking for four hours outside Amy’s apartment. Stephen woke his mother up and told her he had just met the woman he was going to marry! Amy is a registered nurse. After our second child, she decided to stay at home and be with our kids full time. Stephen’s motto is “Pay Life Forward.” He is a small business owner, an entrepreneur, an avid outdoorsman, and an amazing father and husband. We believe giving back to the world we serve is a responsibility for any company and a necessity for making our planet a better place. Our small business employs not only locals but vulnerable women who are rescued from poverty and trafficking. We love adventuring and being with family and friends!

Our Home & Pets

Our home is a seven-bedroom, four-bathroom house on two acres with apple trees and blackberry and blueberry bushes. Our kids love to jump on our trampoline, swing on the tree swing, or have soccer games in the backyard with their siblings. We’re fortunate to have lake access across the street, where the beach is quite secluded as only locals know about it. We are in the highest-ranking school district and only 15 minutes to town, where there is shopping, more beaches, and many restaurants and attractions. We are currently looking for a house that is nearby with a bit more land. Lucy is our hypoallergenic dog and loves to play with the kids or ride on our boat. We also have egg-laying chickens and honeybees that our oldest farm-loving son takes care of.

Our Extended Family

Stephen’s family lives out east, so we all look forward to trips out there. His family is throughout Amish country in PA, the Jersey shore, and NYC, so there is always more to do than what we can fit in our visits. He has one brother and too many aunts, uncles, and cousins to list. Thanksgiving on his side is huge. His family has Italian roots, so it's all about food and family, and his mother makes sure to make everyone their favorites! Christmas time in NYC is simply magical, and watching the Home Alone series in our Christmas PJs is a favorite tradition of ours during that time of year.

Amy has an older sister who has six kids and a younger brother and sister who are finishing up their graduate studies. Most of her family is only a short drive away, so we see them often. With 12 first cousins and counting, there is always a birthday party, playdate, zoo visit, or beach picnic with family. Amy’s mom and grandma (who is 95!) have the biggest sweet tooth in the family, and the grandkids have all greatly benefited from that! Her family are also Disney fans, and usually the family takes a trip once a year.

What Led Us To Adoption

Our journey to build our family was difficult at the beginning. We dreamed of having a large family but were diagnosed with unexplained infertility early on in our marriage. After years of fertility meds and doctors appointments, we decided to adopt. Amy’s mother and aunt have both adopted, and we have seen the joy adoption has brought into our family. After Amy started the application process for adoption, she became pregnant unexpectedly with our first. We went on to have five amazing kids! Although we know how blessed we are, our desire to adopt has never gone away. We know adding one last child to our lives would bring us so much joy and happiness. Our youngest is hoping to upgrade to big sister status soon!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
