dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you so much for reading this! We are so honored you are considering us as adoptive parents for your baby.
We are so eager to meet your little one. If you choose us, your baby will come home to parents who have been raising kids for the past eight years and loving every minute of it. Your baby will come home to three siblings who absolutely adore babies—three built-in best friends who are so excited they have collected all of our baby toys and put together our crib. Your baby will come home to an extended family and four grandparents ready to rock them to sleep. Your baby will come home to parents who will care for them every single day of their lives with dedication, love, devotion, and deep gratitude.
We hope with all of our hearts that our family and our home will be your baby’s forever home. We will spend the rest of our lives helping this little one grow to be whoever he or she is meant to be. We’d be honored to be chosen and forever blessed to receive such a gift. We are thinking of you as you move through this part of your life. We can’t imagine any action more selfless than the gift of adoption; we admire you so much. Thank you for being you.
Amy and Patrick
Watch Our Video
We are total opposites! Patrick is always on time; Amy is always running late. Patrick loves to camp; Amy loves air conditioning. Patrick loves to run; Amy only runs when being chased by something. Patrick doesn’t like chocolate; Amy would bathe in it if she could. Patrick is handy and can build anything; Amy…watches that process really well. Like magnets, we belong together. We have all the important things in common. We believe in the good in people, we always try to treat people with kindness, and we live our lives with the goal of bringing good into the world. We have been together twelve years and have spent most of that time laughing! Patrick is a retired school teacher turned financial advisor, and Amy is a playwright and a director of learning and development at a tech company.
We live in a three-bedroom, two-story home in a very safe, beautiful neighborhood. We moved here to be close to great schools, for our kids to have tons of other kids as neighbors, and because of the yard! Our house has an extended side yard full of beautiful oak trees, and it is our absolute favorite place to be every day. We have a mud kitchen, tree fort, ninja obstacle course, multiple swings, and a little roadway loop for kiddo bikes and trucks. We are the house that always has some sort of activity going on in the backyard! We have a tiny house in the backyard that is the perfect place for hosting our families when they visit.
Our Extended Family
We are both from really large extended families. Amy has over sixty cousins, and Patrick has nearly thirty cousins. We both grew up alongside our aunts, uncles, and cousins in close-knit families that got together often. Family is very important to us and part of our daily life. We live near many of our siblings, cousins, and grandparents, and we see everyone regularly. Every birthday gets a celebration, and every holiday brings us together!
One of Amy’s favorite traditions is a yearly family reunion that occurs every August at a nearby lake. There is swimming, fishing, group dinners every night, games for the kids, and cards for the adults. We laugh so much at these reunions! One of Patrick’s favorite traditions is a yearly July 4th trip to Michigan with his family. We stay near the lake and watch fireworks from the beach alongside his cousins and their children.
Our family is so thrilled for us and our adoption journey. We have several cousins who were adopted, so adoption is seen as such a gift and blessing to the whole group. We are so excited to bring a new little one into this very loving family!
What Led Us To Adoption
We both grew up in large families and knew we wanted a large family of our own. We love the idea of giving our children a big, joyful family! Amy has a genetic blood disorder that causes high-risk pregnancies, so we cautiously started our family with attempting pregnancy. We were blessed to have a successful pregnancy in 2014. To our surprise, we were able to have two more children, in 2017 and 2019! We are not done though! We love children and are so excited to add another to our family. Amy’s doctors have recommended she not attempt pregnancy again, so we knew this was our time to explore adoption to bring us our baby of the family. We are so ready to meet him or her!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
