About Us

We met through a mutual friend in our last semester of college. We started our relationship going on crazy adventures: skydiving, white water rafting, hang gliding, kayaking, paddle boarding, and traveling. We have been married for six years and continue our adventures, big and small, including cross-country road trips to national parks with our dogs. We spend our free time outside as much as possible. We enjoy hiking, gardening, beekeeping, and caring for our farm animals. We also enjoy cooking, reading, hosting family game nights, and working on home DIY projects. We are very passionate about living a health-conscious and environmentally friendly lifestyle. Kevin has worked in law enforcement for ten years and is very active in the community he serves. He enjoys long-distance running, biking, working out, and photography. Amanda has been a registered nurse for 11 years and has a passion for caring for people and animals. She has experience in school nursing and loves spending time with our nieces and nephews..

Our Home & Pets

We live in a rural community that has a small-town feel and the amenities of a larger city. Our neighborhood is quaint, and our neighbors are friendly. We have high-rated schools in our district. We live in a three-bedroom ranch home with a basement on several acres of land near crop fields and many acres of conservation area/forest preserve. We are surrounded by wildlife, which includes various birds, pheasants, deer, turtles, bald eagles, and much more. We have three loving dogs, all rescues, along with two pot-belly pigs, chickens, and a duck that thinks she is a dog. All of our pets get along great. We also have four beehives we take care of.

Our Extended Family

Our families are overjoyed we are pursuing adoption. We both have large extended families. Both of our families live locally and will be a strong support system throughout this process.

Kevin has an older brother who is married with two children. Kevin’s parents are currently retired and are excited to have another grandchild in their lives. Kevin’s extended family is all also very close and spends holidays and birthdays together. Kevin’s favorite family tradition is making homemade pierogi for Christmas Eve dinner.

Amanda has a younger brother who is currently attending college. Amanda’s parents both currently work and are anxious to become grandparents. Amanda’s favorite family tradition is an annual pumpkin carving contest around Halloween that her grandparents judge. Amanda’s extended family is very large, and despite some living out of state, they all get together to celebrate Christmas in July, which is full of fun and laughs. Amanda shares a special relationship with her grandma, and they are very close.

What Led Us To Adoption

We have been eager to grow our family since we got married. Amanda has struggled with endometriosis for many years, requiring multiple surgeries. Kevin also has fertility issues. We have accepted that we are unable to conceive a child naturally and are not interested in pursuing fertility treatment. We were initially introduced to adoption by a coworker a few years ago. More recently, our family friend experienced adoption. After these interactions, we talked about what adoption looked like for us and knew it would be a perfect fit. We are overjoyed to start our biggest adventure yet: parenting. Amanda plans on cutting her hours so she can be a part-time stay-at-home mom. Both of our moms are excited to babysit.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
