dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Thank you for taking the time to look at our profile. We can’t even begin to know what you are going through at this time. It takes a lot of courage to make an adoption plan for your child, so please know whatever decision you make, we support you. We know this is a very difficult decision for you, and we are so grateful to you for the possibility of choosing us to love and care for your baby.

We want you to know your baby will always know what a beautiful, selfless, wonderful mom you are and how much love you will always have for them. We are open to whatever relationship you’d like to have with us and your baby. We plan on being very honest with our future child, letting them know about their adoption and birth family, who they are, where they came from, and especially you. Education is very important, and we will provide your child with whatever assistance is needed as they grow up. We promise to always be there for your child; love them unconditionally; keep them safe; give them stability; teach them to be compassionate, loving, and respectful; and be there for them no matter what. We look forward to sharing more of our life with you to give you a better picture of who we are as a family!

With love & gratitude,
AJ & Rob

About Us

Hello! We are AJ and Rob, and our life together began back in 2007, when we met through online dating. What started out as a four-hour casual phone conversation turned into a first date, and as they say, the rest is history. After eight years of dating, we were finally able to marry in 2015 after it became legal in the United States. We are both honest, compassionate, respectful, and hardworking. AJ works in the telecommunication industry, and Rob works in the tourism industry. In our free time, we enjoy working in our garden, taking bike rides around our neighborhood, walking in the park, and going to the movies. When at home, we enjoy cooking, listening to a variety of music, and enjoying quality time with family and friends.

Our Home

We live in a five-bedroom, four-bath home in a diverse city in California, where there are many parks, walking trails, great schools, and many opportunities to experience everything life has to offer. We have a spacious backyard that consists of a grassy play area, a gated swimming pool, and flower garden. Our neighborhood is filled with families of all nationalities, and everyone is very friendly and watches out for one another. On a typical day, you’ll see families walking their dogs and children playing in the cul-de-sac, riding bicycles, and shooting hoops.

Our Extended Family

Rob is the youngest of five children, three girls and two boys. He is close with all his family. They enjoy spending time together going on trips, celebrating the traditional yearly Portuguese festas, and spending the holidays together.

AJ is one of four children; he is the only boy. He comes from a large Mexican American family with 19 aunts and uncles and a lot of cousins. He is close to all his family, including his cousin and her husband, who have also started their family through adoption. They celebrate birthdays, summer barbeques, baptisms, and quinceaneras. AJ’s immediate family spends most holidays together, including Christmas, where they all gather around the kitchen to make tamales and then change into their family Christmas pajamas just in time to open presents.

What Led Us To Adoption

From the start of our relationship, we always knew we wanted to grow our family through adoption. Seeing our close friends in the LGBTQ community adopt their children made us believe that anything is possible and that we, too, could adopt a child and provide them with a safe and loving home. We are excited for the day when we can bring a child home and have the opportunity to love, guide, protect, and teach them to spread love in the world and be the best person they can be.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
