dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

We do not know you yet, but we hope this helps you to know a little bit more about us. We are a loving and growing transracial family built through adoption and biology. The most important thing to us is our kids and making people feel valued, seen, and cared for. We hope we can help you feel those things as you get to know us.

We take the honor of growing our family through adoption very seriously because it can be both beautiful and tragic at the same time. Children feel like an extension of our own hearts and we know by considering us, you are placing your heart in our hands. Your trust is not lost on us, and we hope to always honor it with everything that we are.

Susie and Scott talk about what their future sibling will be like daily. Susie loves knowing a baby will be joining our family, just like she did- through adoption. We can’t wait to watch the love in our family grow as our family does. Thank you so much for your consideration. We have so much love for you already and pray for your happiness and peace every day.

With love,
Adam and Sallie

About Us

Our names are Adam and Sallie, and we live in beautiful Florida. We are parents to Susanna and Scott. Sallie is a stay-at-home mom. She taught second grade before the kids were born and hopes to go back to teaching once they are in elementary school. Her favorite days are spent with Susie and Scott at the neighborhood park or playing in the backyard. Sallie spends her free time reading, running, and playing soccer. Adam helps manage a homebuilding company and has a flexible schedule. His favorite hobbies are cooking and playing board games with family and friends. As a family, we love to stay active, work on creative projects, and visit Disney World.

Our Home & Pets

Our house is a two-story home with five bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The kids have a playroom upstairs and a large backyard. We live in a neighborhood that is racially and ethnically diverse with highly rated schools. We love to spend time at our community pool and park.

We have two dogs, Tuc and Nala. They love it when we take them on walks around the neighborhood and relax on the couch together in the evening.

Our Extended Family

We are thankful to have family that live close to us. Sallie’s twin sister and nephew live a couple houses down the street. Our kids play several times a week and take swimming and soccer lessons together. They will also go to the same elementary school in the future. Adam’s parents live in a neighborhood close by. They come to all of the kids’ activities throughout the week. We also enjoy weekly family dinners and celebrating holidays together.

Sallie’s parents and older sister’s family, as well as Adam’s sister’s family, live in Wisconsin. We have nieces and nephews on both sides, which makes our reunions together extra special! We love to go to Disney World when they visit us. Our family hosts Thanksgiving and Christmas at our house every year. It is a time we cherish when both Adam and Sallie’s sides of the family get together! We make tamales on Christmas Eve and chocolate chip pancakes on Christmas morning. Our families look forward to sharing memories with a baby in the future!

Our Adoption Story

When we decided it was the right time for us to start a family, we had trouble getting pregnant. We went to several doctors, but there were no conclusions as to why it wasn’t happening. Now we truly believe it’s because we were meant to be parents through adoption first. We signed up with Angel Adoption in May 2018, we were chosen by an expectant mother in late August, and Susie was born in September. Susie’s birthmother, her biological family, and our extended families surrounded her on the day she was born. We have learned adoption is unique to each person involved, but one feeling everyone shares is love. Our family and hearts have grown so much because of adoption. We can’t wait to adopt again.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
