About Us
We are Aaron and Laura. We started dating in 2012 and quickly became inseparable. We are best friends and do everything together. In October 2015 we were married in a lovely little local park with only the most intimate of family and friends, blending our two families together. We both love to garden and cook and are passionate about coffee. Our compassion for animals, respect for nature as well as healthy living, led our family to a vegan lifestyle.
We enjoy a wide range of activities together, including hiking, yoga, baseball, going bowling, and playing minigolf. Laura also enjoys creating art and being crafty, reading, and going shopping. Aaron’s interests include reading, recording a podcast, and following baseball. As a family, we love to spend time exploring the world around us with day trips, vacations, and fun family adventures, like birdwatching, museums, hiking, and indoor activities like movie marathons and board games.
Our Home & Pets
Our home is a spacious, three-story townhouse nestled in a downtown setting with a suburban outlook and rural charm. Bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second and third floors, while a spacious, open-concept living room/kitchen is on the first floor. We have a fenced-in backyard and a lovely covered porch. We live in a small, safe city surrounded by activity and just enough quiet serenity. Parks, shopping, museums, grocery stores, coffee shops, the library, doctors offices, and schools are all nearby. We share our home with our pets, Murphy (dog) and Arya (cat); lots of houseplants; and Aaron’s three grown children when they come to visit. When we are all together is when the home truly feels most alive and complete.
Our Extended Family
Laura’s extended family consists of her parents, sister and brother-in-law, and aunt and uncle, who all live about an hour and a half away. Every year for Christmas, we enjoy getting together for dinner, gifts, and family time. Usually, a few days after, Aaron’s kids will come to visit, and we have Christmas brunch together after gifts. Laura’s parents will come over to see the kids later in the day, and we watch movies together and gather. Laura also has an aunt, uncle, cousin, and grandmother who live in North Carolina, and a few other cousins who are married and started families in a few other states throughout the country.
Aaron’s parents; brother, sister in-law, and their kids; grandma; his parents’ numerous extended family of great-aunts and great-uncles; and his sister and her family all live in the Midwest. Aaron’s brother and sister-in-law are raising five children together. The three oldest of these children are all very close in age and are good friends with Aaron’s kids. He also has an aunt he is close to whom he considers more like a sister. She lives in North Carolina.
What Led Us To Adoption
We are joyful and eager to grow our family by welcoming a child into our lives through the process of adoption. Laura herself was adopted at birth and always knew this was the path for her to take in raising a child. We have three grown children already from Aaron and his previous marriage, and when we both were considering growing our family together, adoption was the only choice considered. We are very excited to be blessed with this opportunity to raise a child in our loving home through this process of adoption.

Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
