dear expectant mother
Someday we hope to tell you just how many nights we have dreamed of meeting you. When we started this journey, we really had not considered the idea of open adoption, but now that we are in the process, we want you to know that you are an incredibly special piece to our family’s puzzle. No one else will ever be able to say they played the role you are playing in this beautiful child’s life.
Our dream is to build a family, fill a home full of laughter and memories, work hard to find our way in this world and learn to care about others and be kind. Our child will not just have a loving home, they will be introduced into a whole community of people who will never tire of encouraging them to succeed and become exactly who they are supposed to be.
Our kitchen table will always have an empty seat because our door will always be open to anyone who makes our family stronger. We hope as often as possible to keep that seat open for you. We cannot wait to hear your story and share ours with you. It has not been an easy road to this spot for any of us. But if this is the right fit, we believe and trust that you will know in your heart of hearts.
Know we love and support you even though we have not yet met.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
We have a great life. Jimmy works at a local church and Aaron works in staff training at a big corporation here in Kansas City. We met in an online group for gay Christians. A mutual friend of ours suggested we meet after sharing stories of our challenges with our families. Aaron was apprehensive at first about “friending” a complete stranger, but Jimmy had no such reservations. We started talking. Then we started talking every day. When Aaron finally came to visit a few months later, we knew we had found something special. Six months later, Aaron took Jimmy up in a hot air balloon and proposed. (Yes, it was 4:30 a.m., but saying “yes” while watching the sunrise was simply magical!) Aaron is the excited dreamer and Jimmy is the ambitious adventurer. Together, we make a great team and we can’t wait to see that team grow.
Our Home & Pets
New Year’s Eve of 2017 we moved into our new house. It was a compromise for both of us. (Aaron wanted a super artistic, old place, and Jimmy wanted something low-maintenance and easy.) What we got was more than either of us imagined: a home. It’s a cool split-level, three-bedroom place with a walkout basement. We’ve started working on the baby’s room, filling it with books and toys from our childhood. We have a big yard all ready to fill with imagination and a neighborhood filled with people from all over the world. We have an elementary school right in our backyard that we will be able to walk to every morning and neighbors that ask every day about our adoption progress!
Our Extended Family
Aaron comes from a huge Polish family (think My Big Fat Greek Wedding). They are fiercely loyal, involved in each other’s lives…and loud! It’s always a party! There’s a secret pierogi family recipe that Jimmy still needs to learn! We have a niece and nephew on that side of the family who can’t wait to meet their new cousin. Jimmy’s family fractured after he came out and many members of his family are no longer in contact. However his sister Faith and her two boys and his brother Jason can’t wait to meet the new addition to our family!
Holidays are always about family! We don’t restrict “family” to just the people we grew up with. We spend every Thanksgiving with friends who have been amazing and loyal family to us. Every Wednesday night we host a group of friends. We eat, laugh, play games, watch TV shows together and play with all the kids. Every Friday night another group of friends meet at a Mexican restaurant and we take turns passing around the little ones to let each other eat. These traditions are the highlights of our week not because of what we do but who we get to see.
What Led Us To Adoption
Since the day we met, we dreamed about our future family. Adoption has been a regular topic of conversation for years. Jimmy’s brother and sister-in-law adopted recently, and numerous families in our church have been through the adoption process. Our friends are at all stages of raising their own families and are eager to support us every step of the way. Babies have never intimidated Jimmy, who grew up with five younger brothers and sisters. Aaron was an elementary school teacher and Jimmy now works with teenagers. We like to say we have every age covered! One of our biggest dreams is kind of silly: We wake up on a Saturday morning as an entire family, grab bowls of cereal and watch cartoons together in bed.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!Return to Waiting Families
