dear expectant mother
Dear Expectant Mom,
We want to start by acknowledging how difficult of a decision it is to consider adoption for your child, and we are humbled that you would consider us to parent them. You are a great mom for choosing life for your child and loving your child so much that you are considering all the options for their future. We feel it is very mature and selfless of you.
We have a friend who made this same decision for her first son back in 2008. She has shared with us that it has been the best decision she has ever made. Her relationship with her son and his adoptive parents has been one of the biggest blessings. She has been involved in his life while giving him the ability to have a life that she was not able to provide for him when we were in our early twenties. We also have friends who have adopted children and have shared how rewarding it has been to be given the opportunity to become parents.
There will never be the proper words to express the gratitude we would feel for being given the opportunity to parent your child. We long to be parents, to share all the big and little moments of life with your child, to teach them, and to watch them grow and become their own person. This is something we have dreamed of for years, and we know we can offer a loving home. Thank you for taking some time to learn about us and consider us for such an amazing opportunity.

About Us
Hi! We are Shannon and Nik. We are big dreamers with huge hearts that have always wanted a family and can not wait to welcome a baby (or babies) to our home. We love to travel, experience new cultures and meet new people. We have lived in the Midwest, Northeast and now live in the South. We like to go to the beach, check out local attractions but we also enjoy being homebodies. Shannon is organized, determined, creative and outgoing - she can talk to almost anyone about anything. She loves to flip furniture, do DIY home renovations and recently picked up gardening as a hobby. Nik is super laid back, funny and has a heart of gold. He loves "dad jokes", watching sports (mostly football and basketball), working out, and going to thrift stores. We both LOVE animals. We have a 4 year old miniature dachshund named Masie. She is the sweetest and absolutely adores babies and children. We both work from home - Shannon is an IT Recruiter and Nik is a Salesforce Analyst. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about us :)
Our Home & Neighborhood
We built a six-bedroom home on a corner lot in 2023. We tailored our build plan with intentions of having a family here. Our neighborhood has a lot of young families, excellent schools (a new school just opened up a mile from our house), and a community pool. We live ten minutes from the beach. We have the sweetest 4 year old dog named Masie that just joined our household, she is obsessed with kids and babies and has been such a wonderful addition.
Our Family & Friends
Shannon has two brothers: an older brother who lives in Maryland with his wife, daughter, and two sons, and a younger brother who lives in Florida with his wife, two daughters, and a son. Shannon’s parents live a few miles from us. Nik has one sister who lives in Los Angeles and his parents live about three hours from us.
We celebrate Easter together each year with Shannon’s side of the family (usually at our house). The kids all love to spend time with their cousins and we do an Easter Egg hunt in our backyard. We usually go up to Maryland for the 4th of July to celebrate birthdays (lots of summer birthdays in the family). Our niece and nephews from Maryland usually come down to South Carolina for a week either in the summer or for their spring break and stay with us. We always have a great time making memories with them which normally consists of trips to the beach, the pool, the waterpark, getting ice cream and going to some shows. We visit Nik's parents every couple of months and alternate Thanksgiving or Christmas celebrated with his side of the family.
What Led Us To Adoption
We always thought we would have two biological children and then adopt one or two children. We have tried to expand our family for six years and have been through multiple rounds of IVF and two second trimester pregnancy losses. We have friends who have adopted and friends who have placed their children for adoption and have been told by all how rewarding and such a blessing it has been. We felt that it's time to pursue adoption. We know we are meant to be parents and can offer such a loving and stable home for a child.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
