dear expectant mother

In high school I, Laura, felt strongly led to adopt. It has been something so strong that while dating my now husband, Robbie, I made it clear that adoption had been placed on my heart and that if it wasn’t on his we didn’t have a future. Over the years we have prayed about when to start the adoption journey, and we felt that God was clearly telling us to wait, until now.

We are so excited to finally meet the child we have been praying for for almost 20 years. We have spoken to the kids about how God has called us as a family to search with love for this last child and they are so excited, telling everyone about how they are going to have another baby but this one is a special surprise from God. This baby is seen as pure and utter joy and blessing in all of our lives!

Although it is so exciting to start this long awaited journey, I know that it also means that you have been experiencing pain. I just want you to know you have been in our minds and hearts daily for so many years. Even in the moments when you have felt alone you have had people praying for you and loving you. We know that this exciting blessing in our life is because of your selfless love.

We can not wait to connect!

The almost complete,
Family rooted in love

Our Lifestyle

We are an Army family, so for the next 8 years we get to move frequently. This gives our family the opportunity to explore and have adventures every weekend in our new state. We also are fully aware that as our military time ends our kids will be at an elementary age, meaning they get the best of both worlds, they will get the adventures while also making friends to grow up with.

On our last move, we went from Kansas to Washington. On our trip we got to swim in the Great Salt Lake, eat in huge aquarium restaurants, and take pictures at giant egg statues that the kids still talk about because they believe they have dinosaurs inside. We are given the opportunity to travel and see places we may have never seen on our own and want to give our kids all of those amazing memories. Once in our new state we take every opportunity to hike and sight see. In Washington, we have explored Seattle, Mount Rainier, Mount Olympic, and so many beaches.

Our Home & Neighborhood

We currently live in a kid friendly neighborhood; kids are always out at the park or playing in the street. Our house is right across from the park which is up at the top of the hill; this makes riding bikes around the neighborhood harder but not impossible. Our house has 5 bedrooms, all upstairs, and a spacious backyard that we spend much of our time in. We planted a large vegetable and flower garden this year. The kids love to swing and play in the little pool all summer long. The current favorite activity is finding all the worms under rocks and making them a new dirt home.

Our Family & Friends

After meeting Robbie, we were inseparable. We were best friends, told each other everything and quickly fell in love. That love has grown and changed but never wavered. Since being married in 2015 we have had 3 amazing kids. Wallace, age 4, loves trains, fire trucks and plants. Gwen, age 3, is a leader, loves making people laugh, greatly enjoys her nails being done, and is also not afraid of dirt. Walter, age 1, is happy, loves to explore and be right in the action, he wants to be doing anything the big kids are doing.

All of our extended family lives in Texas. We work very hard for the kids to know and have relationships with their grandparents and aunt/uncles. We do FaceTime, have lots of phone calls, and the grandparents visit as often as they can; typically 2-3 times a year.

While in Washington, it is important that we have friends that double as family that we can lean on when family isn’t here. We always try to make our house the gathering home for summer BBQs, splash days, Christmas cookie making, and holiday dinners. We love making these sweet friends part of our family.

What We Love About Each Other

We met after college while I, Laura, was teaching and Robbie got his first job in Texas. On our second date we met to listen to a live band, then grabbed food, followed by going to a movie, and then sat on my front porch talking and laughing until the sun came up, all to keep the date from ending. We joke that our second date never ended and that we are actually still on it. We have had hard things happen in our life such as death of people we love, deployment, and moving far away from family. At the end of the day, we have loved this crazy journey together and are so thankful to have had each other in those hard moments.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
