dear expectant mother

Dear Expectant Mother,

Three weeks before our wedding, Ryan was in an accident. He broke his pelvis and underwent several surgeries. It felt like the worst thing that could ever happen to us. The night of his accident, his surgeons removed a small, cancerous tumor as they repaired his injuries. We had no idea a tumor existed! That experience showed us that even life’s most difficult experiences can bring remarkable things. Ryan made a full recovery and is in excellent health. He was in a wheelchair for our wedding (you’ll notice that in the photos), but this experience became part of our story and our strength as a couple.

We do not know what you are going through, but we want you to know we deeply respect your strength and courage. Our hearts are bursting with love, hope, and gratitude for you for considering helping others build a family. We haven’t been able to have children on our own and cannot wait to welcome a baby into our family. We have the patience, teamwork, and connection required to build a safe and loving home and can’t wait to provide a child with unconditional love, support, and opportunities. We’d be sincerely honored to play a part in your story and are hoping with all our hearts that you choose to be a part of ours.

Thank you for your consideration and for taking the time to learn about us. We want to support you as much as possible in this decision, so please feel free to contact us.
With Love,
Jess & Ryan

About Us

We both took jobs at the same ski resort nearly a decade ago. We were friends and then fell in love. Our first dates were downhill skiing and pizza at the local brewery. We both love the outdoors and bonded over hiking, kayaking, camping, and other adventures. Jess works for a marketing agency with work-from-home flexibility. Ryan sells large construction equipment at a dealership. Both of our offices are less than 15 minutes from our home! Jess is an amateur gardener, enjoys long walks in the woods with our dog, and always has a home improvement project underway. Ryan is working on restoring our boat and is an avid fisherman. We both enjoy cooking (and often barbequing) and take pride in maintaining our home together.

Our Home & Pets

We own a three-bedroom home in a cul-de-sac neighborhood in a small town in New Hampshire. There is access to great schools and many neighborhood kids who play sports together and ride their bikes around the “circle.” It is the kind of neighborhood where even the dogs play together and you can borrow something from your neighbor. Summit is our spoiled dog. He’s a mutt we adopted from Texas five years ago. He’s playful and tolerant with our young nephews and even gives them kisses. He will be a great best bud to our future kids.

Our Extended Family

We are grateful to come from two strong and stable families. We are close, and this shows at holidays, special events, and when anyone is in need of extra support. Jess’s parents live an hour from our home on a beautiful lake. Her dad is a retired surgeon and her mom a retired nurse. She has two loving sisters and brothers-in-law and two playful nephews (both under four years old). Our favorite days are spent hanging on the dock, swimming, boating, barbecuing, and, of course, having s’mores around a campfire.

Ryan’s parents live even closer and are both one of five children, so there are many aunts, uncles, and cousins locally as well as three loving grandparents. We get together for family dinners, for game nights, and to enjoy their backyard pool. They also have a home on Cape Cod where we enjoy beach weekends. We can’t wait to build sandcastles on the beach with our kids. Ryan’s brother and sister-in-law have a baby girl. His sister is getting married in June 2022.

Our families have offered their complete support and encouragement throughout this adoption process. They can’t wait to meet and welcome a future child into our family and lives (and we know they will spoil them a bit too).

What Led Us To Adoption

We have always wanted to be parents and to grow our family. We grew up in such strong and supportive homes that we are eager to provide that to our own kids. After years of trying to conceive and numerous failed fertility treatments, we were diagnosed with “unexplained infertility.” We know things happen for a reason, and we believe adoption is our intended path. We know when we connect with the right expectant mother and baby, our long journey to a family will make sense and be so worthwhile. Our hearts, home, and arms are open and full of love. There will be so much joy and laughter in our lives because of this decision.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence

As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.

Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.

The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.

Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
