dear expectant mother
Dear expectant mother–
Reading this letter means you are considering one of the most selfless acts a mother could ever make. It will never be lost on me the immense courage and love it is taking you to make this choice, and it speaks so deeply to the strength that you have. If I am the person you choose to raise your baby, I can guarantee you that they will grow up knowing that your decision was a selfless one made out of love, and that you gave them the greatest gift by putting their future first.
My biggest dream is to be a mom. I can promise you that if you are the one to make this dream come true, your baby will grow up in a stable, nurturing, and joy-filled home. They will know adventure, laughter, and the comfort of being surrounded by people who love them. They will always know their story and where they came from. I will make sure they grow up understanding that they are doubly blessed—with the love of the mother who gave them life, and the love of the mother who will raise them.
I want to share a little bit about myself! Friends describe me as comical, empathetic, and dedicated. I work as an early childhood special education teacher in infant-toddler intervention. I was a foster mom to twins for 2 ½ years and loved every moment. I’m excitedly waiting to become a forever mommy.
With love,
Elisha
My Hobbies & Passions
I have a deep passion for creating—crafting, gardening, woodworking, and other DIY projects are my favorite hobbies. I especially love making keepsakes like canvas art, stepping stones, and hand-drawn pieces. One of the most meaningful ways I’ve done this is through handprint art with my foster children. We’ve created lasting mementos to cherish and share, capturing special moments that pass too quickly. I look forward to making keepsakes for myself and for you to treasure forever.
Music is another love of mine. I played the clarinet throughout school and still enjoy picking it up now and then. I find joy in learning and performing music, and I’m always listening to music—my favorite artists include Taylor Swift, TobyMac, and MercyMe. I sing often, even if a little off key and just for my pets in my living room! One of my favorite quotes is, “Where words fail, music speaks.” Your child will grow up in a home filled with music.
My Home & Neighborhood
I live in a mid-sized town in central Kansas that blends small-town charm with some of the amenities you get from a big town. We have many parks, craft shops, small businesses, a waterpark, community theatre, and two universities—all within a friendly, close-knit atmosphere. Kids walk to school, ride bikes to the park, and neighbors look out for one another. My neighborhood is safe, family-friendly, and just two blocks from a great elementary school, with several playgrounds nearby. While the town isn’t urban, nearby cities within an hour offer other fun activities such as zoos, children’s music/art classes, and children’s museums—perfect for day trips.
My Family & Friends
Family to me is not something that is defined by DNA, but by the people who consistently show up for you and love you unconditionally. For me, that has always been my mom, my aunt, and my Nanny and Poppy. Growing up, I could count on Nanny and Poppy to be there at every school event, dance recital, and band concert, cheering me on without fail. Over the past two and a half years with my foster twins, my mom has shown that same devotion—supporting us through appointments, day to day life, and plenty of fun times too!
My family has instilled in me values that shape who I am today. Poppy passed on his knowledge of woodworking, yard work, and all things “fix-it” to my mom and aunt, who in turn passed it to me. Because of them, I feel confident in taking care of my home, even if it takes a few tries to get it right sometimes! Just as importantly, my family has taught me the value of helping and caring for others. I spent hours volunteering at food kitchens, church events, donation drives, hospitals, and other events with my mom and Nanny. As a third generation teacher, my goal every day is to help others be the best they can be.
These are the same values I hope to pass on to my children.
My Favorite Adventures
I love to travel! I was lucky to go on several family vacations growing up. My mom always made sure I knew that in order to do a fun vacation once a year, money needed to be saved throughout the year and this meant not always doing “big events” throughout the year. I appreciated this because it made the yearly vacation even more special to me. My favorite vacations have included the beach. I find immense peace in watching the waves roll onto the shore. I enjoy walking barefoot along the shore, looking for seashells, and feeling the sand between my toes. It is also rather hilarious to get in the water a bit too deep and then getting knocked over by the waves!

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
