Our Love Story
We feel incredibly fortunate to have found our soulmates in each other. There is so much we love and admire.
Brooklyn loves that Jody is kind and patient, always caring for her, the house, and Holly. His passion shines in everything he does—so much so that he won his school's Educator of the Year Award in just his second year! Brooklyn also adores how Jody always makes her laugh with his made-up songs, dances, and expert-level dad jokes.
Jody admires Brooklyn's natural gift with children, her unwavering commitment to family, and her boundless generosity. Children feel safe and at ease around her, thanks to her special way of connecting with them. Everyone who meets Brooklyn knows family comes first. Whether it's giving thoughtful gifts, going above and beyond for her students, or crocheting dolls with limb differences to help children feel seen, Brooklyn's passion and kindness touch everyone she meets.
Our Home & Neighborhood
We live in a Denver suburb surrounded by beautiful open spaces, parks, reservoirs, and lakes—perfect for walking our sweet six-year-old "puppy," Holly. Our three-bedroom, two-bath home is in the Jeffco School District, with many schools nearby. Since we're both teachers in a neighboring school district, there are a wide range of excellent educational opportunities. We're just 30 minutes from downtown Denver, and in the other direction, the mountains are close for weekend adventures. We love our community for its festivals, movie nights in the park, holiday light ceremonies, and fireworks on the Fourth of July—the joy and togetherness here truly shine year-round!
Our Family & Friends
Both of our families are based in Colorado, which means we're surrounded by love and support close to home. Brooklyn has an older sister in Ohio and three younger brothers in California, Colorado, and Tennessee. Jody has two half-brothers who also live in Colorado. Both of our parents still live in the homes we grew up in—homes filled with memories and warmth. Our extended family is large and close-knit, with nephews, 30+ cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents—most living nearby. We also have many lifelong friends from growing up in Colorado who feel like chosen family and are a big part of our lives.
Family gatherings are a big part of who we are. Christmas is our favorite—celebrated with a full week of baking, wrapping, Christmas movies, and matching pajamas. We also decorate for every holiday and love making each season feel magical. Our families taught us the importance of togetherness, joy, and unconditional love. We're so excited to continue those traditions and create a home where your child will always feel safe, celebrated, and surrounded by people who love them deeply.
Adoption in Our Lives
When we first met in a sign language interpreting program, we quickly bonded over our shared dream of becoming parents. Once we started dating, we couldn't help but imagine our future family. We both hoped for a big family and talked early on about our plan to adopt one day.
Fast forward to today—we've walked through two and a half years of infertility, a failed IUI, multiple unsuccessful embryo transfers, and one heartbreaking early loss. Through it all, our desire to become parents has only grown stronger. We feel deeply called to adoption, knowing in our hearts that we were born to love, guide, and raise children.
We dream of building a life where children will always feel deeply loved and supported—where their feelings are honored and they are free to be fully themselves. We believe every child deserves to know their full story from the very beginning. Your child will grow up knowing they are cherished by two families and that their story began with your strength, your love, and your hope.

Choose a Family for
Your Baby With Confidence
As you browse our list of hopeful adoptive parents, you can feel confident in knowing that all of the adoptive families working with Angel Adoption are prepared to offer your baby a safe, stable, and loving environment along with a wealth of opportunities for a happy and fulfilling life.
Each adoptive parent has been thoroughly evaluated through a home study course conducted by a licensed agency. A completed home study means the family is emotionally, physically, and financially ready to adopt a baby.
The home study process includes assessments of each parent’s character, marital stability, financial situation, lifestyle, and medical history. The agency also runs background checks to verify there is no record of criminal activity or child abuse. In addition, a social worker will inspect the family’s home to ensure it is a safe environment for a child.
Furthermore, Angel Adoption requires each family to be educated on adopting and parenting. After a baby has been placed with the adoptive family, a social worker will continue to monitor and supervise the family. We go to great lengths to make sure all the families you have to choose from are going to be excellent parents for your baby!
