Are Hoping to Adopt a Baby

dear expectant mother

Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We have been married for ten years and have already been gifted with so many opportunities: visiting new places, meeting amazing people around the world, and experiencing different cultures. We are blessed in many ways, and we would love to share our lives with our children. Adoption was always a dream. Our plan was to first try to get pregnant and later adopt. After doing two IVF rounds with no success, we decided it was time to proceed with adoption. And here we are, very excited and anxious to meet the new member(s) of our family.

Our parents, siblings, and friends are all ecstatically waiting for this match. We’re all ready to become parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunties of the bundle of joy. Our families are very close and cannot wait to welcome a child.

We would like to thank you for being brave in making the decision to place your child for adoption, and we assure you their happiness will always be our main priority and reason to live.

About Us

Our story started in the beginning of 2007 at a party in Brazil, where we got along well and a great friendship started. A few months passed just as friends, with many social events and friends’ reunions. Then we realized it was more than just a simple friendship. Our relationship is based on friendship and love. In 2014 we had our wedding. It was a traditional Brazilian celebration at the beach among our friends and family in Brazil on the Island where we used to spend most of our weekend dates, the place where we were able to nurture our feelings and grow as a couple. In 2014 we came to the U.S. for a job project. It was a new place with a new culture to explore and get used to. In 2015 we moved to the USA. We miss being physically closer to our family and friends, but it gets easier with the current technology and the “family” we have built here. Additionally, at least once a year we travel to visit our loved ones in Brazil.

Our Home & Neighborhood

After years living in Indiana, in 2023 we moved to Illinois. With this move, we were able to choose the city we wanted to live in and raise our new family. Because of that, we started checking locations with the best schools near our work. We were able to find a lot of land on a cul-de-sac, on the top of a hill, where we built a house big enough to fit the big family we have always dreamed about. We love to live where we can enjoy the outdoors and can easily walk to parks, go skiing and snowboarding during the winter, and go boating and sailing in the summer. We also love getting together with our friends and having barbecue or just staying home and enjoying some quality time with our pets, Bart and Pipi.

Our Family & Friends

We have a lot of traditions, both American and Brazilian. Living in a country far away from family provides us with the opportunity to celebrate every time we get together. When we arrive in Brazil, we have big lunches and dinners with family just to enjoy being together and celebrate all the missed holidays and milestones we couldn’t be present for.

Every Sunday in our home here in the U.S., we have a big cookout with barbeque and some Brazilian dishes. Everybody in our family/friends group participates and brings a dish to share. For the American traditions, we have incorporated Thanksgiving, a holiday not celebrated in Brazil. Because of this, we are able to spend every year with friends, being grateful for everybody’s accomplishments and the opportunities we have.

What Led Us To Adoption

Adoption was always a dream of ours. We tried conceiving and planned to adopt a child later. But it didn't work as planned, and after two unsuccessful IVF procedures, we decided it was time to skip this step and fulfill our dream by adopting. We are already a family, the two of us and our two cats. Our life is full of happiness and opportunities that we are ready to share with our children. For Virginia, adoption was always a natural step in our lives, growing up in a house full of uncles but with only one being her father’s biological brother. That made her understand all the love and friendship shared with family helps create a bond even greater than blood and that the meaning of FAMILY is understanding and loving each other unconditionally.
