We are so grateful to you for considering us to be adoptive parents for your child. This must be an incredibly emotional experience surrounded by much uncertainty, and we admire the strength and courage required to make such a difficult decision.
We are a pair of high school sweethearts who have been married for almost 13 years and are fully committed to each other and our family. After struggling with infertility for many years, we were finally blessed with our son Oscar in 2023 and began a new chapter as a family of three. We have grown a lot in the last two years and have thoroughly enjoyed our parenting journey thus far. Since the beginning of our marriage, we always hoped to have at least two children, and we believe we are now ready to bring another son / daughter and brother / sister into our home.
Should you choose us, we would be thrilled to bring your baby into our family and surround him/her with love and support. Life in our home is filled with activity and adventure as we love to explore the outdoors in our surrounding community and travel to new destinations. We currently enjoy a very busy schedule with Oscar including visits to parks, nature centers, museums, and libraries, and would love to experience all these things with your child as a family of four.
Our Hobbies & Passions
We are both very active and love to spend time outdoors with our son Oscar (2 years old) and our two dogs. We go on a lot of family bike rides and walks and also enjoy weekends away at our small cabin in the woods, about 1.5 hours from home. At our cabin, we like to have campfires, go on hikes, and go fishing in the nearby lakes and streams.
Peter enjoys biking and running for exercise and is very passionate about watching his favorite soccer team and going on snowboarding trips in the winter.
Dana enjoys exploring parks and nature trails with Oscar and spending rainy days at the Children’s Museum. She also enjoys playing disc golf and is part of a weekly women’s league.
Our Home & Neighborhood
Our Family & Friends
Peter’s parents, Amy and Brad, and brother, Eric, all live in the same city about 10 minutes away. Amy and Brad moved to Texas from Wisconsin after the birth of our son Oscar about two years ago. They are both retired and enjoy being grandparents. They like to stay active in the community by volunteering and being part of various social groups. We typically see them and hang out at least once a week, usually for family dinners on Sundays. Some of the things we like to do as a larger family include going to the neighborhood pool, biking and hiking, and watching sports.
Dana’s parents and brothers live in Wisconsin, along with our 6 nieces and nephews. We are fortunate to spend a longer amount of time visiting them for Thanksgiving and July 4th, and add on a few shorter trips throughout the year, as well as hosting them in Texas. Dana’s mom, Sheryl, spends a lot of time with her grandchildren in Wisconsin, attending their various sports and activities, and never goes more than 2 days without a phone call to catch up with us. When we visit them we enjoy going sledding in the winter and going on pontoon rides on the lake in the summer.
Our Favorite Adventures
We enjoy going on small trips around Texas to our cabin and other fun destinations within driving distance. On these trips we like to hike and bike at various state parks and explore different parts of our diverse state.
Each year we also go up to Wisconsin, where we are both originally from, around the 4th of July to get out of the heat and spend time with friends and family. Dana’s family has a cabin in the northern part of the state that is perfect for summer vacations with countless lakes for fishing and boating. We really enjoy going to the mountains and take at least one snowboard trip each year in the winter and a yearly summer trip to Utah with Peter’s family.
