Megan & Christopher

Our story began in December 2020 when we met through CatholicMatch. At that time, both of us were looking for a relationship grounded in faith, family, honesty, and shared values. We spent several weeks getting to know one another through messages before meeting in person on New Year's Eve. From the beginning, our relationship was intentional. We were drawn to each other’s warmth, steadiness, and love for family. Chris admired Megan’s compassion, peaceful presence, and genuine care for others. Megan admired Chris’s sincerity, devotion to his children, faith, and ability to face life with humor and perseverance.

Our journey together has included real challenges - grief, surgeries, and uncertainty - but those experiences strengthened our communication, patience, and trust in God. We learned how to support one another, pray together, laugh through hard moments, and keep choosing love. We were married in June 2023. Today, our home is centered on faith, love, laughter, and family. We are grateful for the life we share and excited about the possibility of welcoming a child into our family through adoption.

We live in Missouri, in a home we own and love. Our home is filled with activity, encouragement, laughter, pets, family meals, homework, sports schedules, and everyday memories. It is the kind of home where children are supported, welcomed, and reminded that they belong.

Our community offers so many opportunities for children to learn, explore, and have fun. We enjoy visiting places such as the Zoo, the Arch, the City Museum, the aquarium, the Magic House, sporting events, festivals, parks, and family-friendly activities throughout the year. We enjoy all four seasons - swimming in the neighborhood pool during the summer, playing in the snow in the winter, and taking walks when the weather is nice.

One of the greatest blessings in our lives is the strong village of family and friends that surrounds us. Family is at the center of our lives, and we are fortunate to have a close-knit support system that is actively involved in the lives of our children. Megan’s parents and Chris’s mom spend a great deal of time with their grandchildren, showering them with love, celebrating milestones, attending events, and providing encouragement and support. Their involvement has created meaningful relationships that enrich our children’s lives every day.

We are also blessed to have siblings who live nearby. Megan’s sisters and their children are close by. Chris’s sister and her daughter live in the area as well. Whether it is a holiday gathering, birthday celebration, school performance, sporting event, church activity, or simply an ordinary family dinner, there is always someone eager to spend time together and support one another.

Our parents, sisters, extended family, friends, and church community have all expressed excitement about welcoming another child into our family. A child joining our home would be surrounded by grandparents, aunts, cousins, friends, and a loving community ready to provide affection, encouragement, stability, and a true sense of belonging.

Adoption has played a meaningful role in our family’s story. Chris has three children from a previous marriage, and two of them joined the family through adoption. Megan is a devoted bonus mom who loves all of the children deeply. While Chris and Megan hoped to have children together and continue growing their family, they have been unable to do so biologically because of Megan’s infertility.

Our oldest, Zach, came into our lives through foster care before becoming a permanent part of our family through adoption. Lilly was adopted at birth, and she and Zach are biological siblings. Welcoming them into our family has brought us immense joy and has given us a firsthand appreciation for the love, connection, and beauty that adoption can bring to a family.
