Kim & Kris

Hello! We’re Kris and Kim, and we’ve built our life around family, love, laughter, and making memories together. Kris is a director in social services who enjoys home improvement projects and spending time outdoors. Kim has a background in social services and now works in learning and quality operations for a large company. Our blended family includes four daughters, ages 5, 9, 15, and 18, who bring so much joy and personality to our home. We love traveling, spending time outdoors, and enjoying our lake house, where you’ll often find us boating, swimming, or simply relaxing together.

We both grew up in close-knit families, and traditions are incredibly important to us. We celebrate the big moments, the little moments, and every holiday in between. Through adoption, we hope to welcome another child into a home filled with unconditional love, supportive siblings, family traditions, adventures, and a lifetime of memories

We live on ten acres in the Missouri countryside, where there is plenty of room to explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors. Our four-bedroom home is filled with family activity, including a cozy family room and playroom. We love the peacefulness of country living while still being just 25 minutes from the conveniences of the city.

Our family loves adventure! We spend time at our lake house swimming, boating, and enjoying water sports, and our camper takes us on even more family getaways. At home, our little farm includes chickens and goats, along with our much-loved dogs and cats. Whether we’re traveling, reading together, celebrating holidays, or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home, our favorite moments are the ones we share as a family.

Family is at the center of our lives. Our extended family is spread across Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Wisconsin, but distance has never kept us from being close. We stay connected through regular calls, visits, vacations, holidays, and family gatherings.

We love celebrating together—not only holidays, but birthdays, accomplishments, and life’s everyday milestones, usually with a special dinner and plenty of laughter. One of our favorite traditions is our annual family fantasy football league, which keeps everyone connected and gives us something fun to talk about all season long.

Our family also includes a wonderful circle of close friends who have become like family and are an important part of our support system. We feel fortunate to have so many people who show up for one another and share in our children’s lives. We look forward to welcoming another child into this circle of love and creating new traditions, celebrations, adventures, and “happiest times” together.

Adoption has always held a special place in our hearts. Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of watching adoption grow the families of people we love, including Kim’s brother, cousin, and a close friend. Their experiences have shown us that family is created through love, commitment, and connection—not simply biology.

We feel incredibly excited about the possibility of welcoming another child into our family and giving them a lifetime of love, encouragement, stability, and belonging. We look forward to celebrating who they are, honoring their story and heritage, and supporting them through every stage of life. More than anything, we hope to provide a home where they always know they are deeply loved and an important part of our family.
