Kari & David
Are Hoping to Adopt a Baby
dear expectant mother
We want to begin by acknowledging your strength, love, and the incredibly difficult and deeply personal decision you are facing. While we cannot fully understand your journey, we hold so much respect and compassion for you. The care and thought you are putting into your child’s future speaks volumes about the kind of love you already have for your baby.
Adoption is something we feel called to. Our journey, including the experience of building a blended family, has only deepened our desire to grow our family through adoption. We are emotionally and wholeheartedly prepared to raise, guide, and support a child through every stage of life.
If chosen, your child will be raised in a home filled with love, stability, and encouragement. We will provide a safe and nurturing environment where they can grow into who they are meant to be. Our hope is to give them every opportunity to feel confident, supported, and deeply loved. Your child’s story will always include you. You will be spoken of with kindness and gratitude. Your love and decision will not be forgotten. As we embark on this journey, we feel a sense of hope for the future and growing our family. At the same time, we carry deep gratitude for you, for even considering us as potential parents. That is something we do not take lightly. No matter where your journey leads, we wish you peace, strength, and support every step ahead.
Love, Kari & David
Our Love Story
After walking into the gym in 2015, Kari was approached by David, who was working there part-time. He tried to convince her to join a new class and said it was her lucky day. Kari smiled replying, “No, everyday is my lucky day.” That moment marked the beginning of something special.
What started as a trainer-client connection grew into a genuine friendship. Through workouts and conversations, we found ourselves naturally drawn to one another, sharing our values, hopes, and perspectives on life. By March 2016, that friendship grew into a relationship rooted in mutual respect, laughter, and connection. In August 2016, Kari was introduced to David’s four children—an incredibly meaningful step approached with care, intention, and open hearts.
We moved into our current home in June 2018, got engaged in March 2019, and were married in May 2021. Along the way, we didn’t just build a partnership—we built a family. The blending of our lives and families has been a journey filled with growth, joy, and intention, and it has shaped the strong, loving foundation shared today.

Our Home & Neighborhood

Our Family & Friends
Our home is filled with love and support as we have three college-aged children who have not left the nest (David’s children are ages 19-25). They are excited to welcome the newest addition to our family and celebrate significant milestones and birthdays and share holiday traditions.
Kari’s parents live just 40 minutes away and will be a strong and loving support system. They have always been a steady source of guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love in our lives, and they are overjoyed at the thought of becoming grandparents for the first time. Their deep commitment to family and their nurturing nature will provide an additional layer of warmth, stability, and care for a child.
As a family, we truly value time spent together. Whether we’re vacationing at the beach, fishing in northern Wisconsin, playing card games, attending baseball games, or simply gathering around the table sharing a meal and laughter, these are the moments we hold closest. We look forward to continuing these traditions and creating new ones filled with joy, connection, and a deep sense of love and security.

Our Favorite Adventures
One of our favorite places to visit is Colorado where David’s mom and eldest son reside. We travel to spend time with family twice per year. While there, we make homemade tortillas and enjoy enchilada dinners and enjoy outdoor activities including hiking and skiing. Making memories and spending time as a family is of utmost importance. We enjoy going on family cruises, exploring the Smoky Mountains, and most recently experiencing the magic offered at Disney World.
We are a blended family with a shared love for sports. We enjoy cheering on the Chicago Cubs and Bears. David has also coached two of his sons in baseball for 15+ years and Kari has participated by keeping track of the score and stats for the team.
