Josh & Karen

We are a relaxed couple who can adjust easily to challenging situations and tackle most matters with empathy and consideration. For over 12 years, Josh has served as a general manager of a hotel and led business and hospitality services at a large university in our state. I am presently working at the same university in an administrative role within the department responsible for the development and execution of capital projects on our campus and elsewhere in the state.

Living in a college town provides exciting events such as football games and parades. Outside of campus activities, we enjoy spending time with friends and family, as well as engaging in different home improvement projects. Sports play a significant role in Josh's life, while I find pleasure in painting and decorating.

Josh's close, extended family consists of his mother, father, sister, and niece. They reside a little more than a mile away from us, making it quite easy to spend plenty of time with them. A few of our favorite activities with them include attending concerts/plays, swimming in their pool, going to sports events, or simply having dinner and chatting at home. They have numerous lasting customs that we continue to follow, such as having a unique plate for your birthday meal or enjoying green chili stew, posole, and tamales every Christmas Eve.

Karen's family resides roughly a two-hour drive away, but we ensure we visit them as often as possible. Karen's family members consist of her mother, sister, brother-in-law, and three nieces. She has a brother and sister-in-law residing in Chicago, so we don't get the chance to visit them frequently. We love going to her sister's place, especially in the summer to enjoy their fantastic swimming pool! Welcoming them each Christmas evening also brings us great joy. We are fortunate to visit our cousins, aunts, and uncles several times annually, typically during a holiday.
